What do you guys think about dropping CJ and replacing him with Isiah Joe on an exhibit 10? Get to see him up close and then put him in the Iowa system. Thoughts and opinions?

Getting him on an exhibit 10 would be a clear win for the organization, however I'm expecting that he will get a two-way deal from somebody (or maybe even a regular roster spot on another team).

It is possible. It is the best we can really offer now, and I would love to get a chance at him.

I think we should sign Mo Harless..good defensive 3 or 4 who can knock down 3s. he's listed as 6'9. more size to defend against other team's good PFs. Prince, McDaniels, and Anderson are all kinda thin to guard stronger PFs.

He's a career 32% 3PT that has been awful 3 of the past 4 years.

2018: 28%
2019: 34%
2020: 27%
2021: 31%

He has good length, but he's not very big (220). I don't see any way he gets off the bench barring 3-4 injuries.

Really interesting video on a few fronts. Don't talk specifically Minnesota a lot, but talk situations that apply to us.

Extensions: Thought the talk about percentage of the cap was very interesting
Waivers: After Saturday 5 pm, guys start getting paid. This specifically is interesting with guys who have partial guarantees.

This, + all roster cuts are due by 5 pm on Saturday. I have very little doubt Elleby gets cut. Garza and Dozier will be interesting. Dozier probably does but gets reevaluated when he is healthy and does rehab in the G. I could see either Paschall, Lawson, or Knight being cut for Garza.

This would be an interesting fit, with his history with Gobert

Derrick Favors waived.. We should pick him up. In fact waive some players and sign both moe harkless and favors we need all the good defenders we can get.

Please finish the thought. You talked about who to pick up. Who do we cut to make it work?

Eric paschall? Josh Minott?

Paschall doesn’t work. Unless you also cut Knight and offer Knight Paschall’s two way. But that costs you Garza. Dumping Minott would be very short sighted and bite us for years to come. He has a 4 year cheap deal and we are getting more and more expensive. With a lack of draft capital we need to develop the young guys we already have. I don’t see Favors coming here unless we trade Naz, and I don’t hear rumors about trading Naz.

It's Lawson

I stand corrected.

Not sure I get keeping Paschall over Lawson. Feels like Lawson would have been the better investment but eh.

I wonder if we can get Lawson to sign with Iowa? It is always possible that as the season progresses someone will poach him, (probably on a 10 day,) but if they don’t, he might make the team next year.

I think we need to get Paschall healthy and in shape before we know what we got with him. Lawson seemed like the better prospect on paper, but we don’t see the practices or the coaches evaluations. Paschall also fits a bit better on paper from a roster composition standpoint. Especially if you plan to move Naz or Knight during the season.
