So if they are definitely a playoff team you're putting them at 6th seed plus?

Yes. I saw how easily they handled the Warrior's A team and I have them as 6 or better not needing a play in game.

And we are top 3 according to you.

So at this point who are the other 4 teams?

Winging it as I haven't done any hard core analysis I have Denver, Phoenix, Lakers, and Warriors.

Denver
Phoenix
Minnesota
Warriors
Lakers
Spurs

So in your book these teams are better than Memphis, LAC, and SAC?

Warriors/Sacto a very close call. Probably then Grizzlies/Clippers a close call.

Trade them a big? Their bigs are JJJ, Aldama, and Xavier Tillman.

Help them when they’re down?
KAT in the 2024 playoffs: 19.1, 9.0, 2.6 on 46.6 / 36.1 / 85.5.

Grizzlies are in serious trouble with this one. Their backups are not full time bigs. They will probably need to make a trade or they will have a set back. Could be good news for us as Memphis is still probably pretty strong without Ja but Ja and Adams missing plus no Tyus to back them up, they could be in some trouble. Will be a major let down if we let these opportunities pass by.

Top 5, likely playoff teams
Denver
Phoenix
Warriors
Grizzlies
Kings

Next 6 could finish in any order
Timberwolves
Lakers
Clippers
Pelicans
Thunder
Mavericks

Next 3, Rebuilding but not bad and could surprise people and feasibly make playoffs with a good season
Jazz
Rockets
Spurs

Last, Tank City
Portland

Yeah, the West is going to be absolutely brutal this year

Yeah the Grizz are overstacked with 3/4 types. They will be fine as long as JJJ is healthy, but he's missed a lot of games in his career so far.

We are short on 3/4 types and long on bigs. I don't know that I see anything that would work for a trade between us though.
I think they could really use a guy like Slo-Mo on their team this year.
We could use a David Roddy type.

I believe you look for trades that help you and your trade partner, but help push you a little more ahead of the other 28 teams.

I don’t want to help Memphis.

Only if they plan to overpay in desperation.

Portland isn't even that terrible either. Unless they are intentionally tanking they'll might be as good as the Rockets.

Porzingis looks healthy, strong, and quick. Celtics going to be a great team this year.

We know from history that(Porzingie) won’t last especially since he was basically injury free last season.

Brunson doesn’t look right, I know he was shooting out of his mind most of last season but I didn’t think he would have a big drop off this quickly.

Is Dallas just really bad or SAS is going to be a playoff team this year? Maybe Towns for Kyrie or Luka? :D

I've already told you all that the Spurs are a playoff team this year. You should have been listening. However, Dallas is real bad.

Wemby gets in big foul trouble and misses a huge chunk of the game. Spurs lose to Dallas. I don't expect that to happen very often.
