Milwaukee has to take a long look at resetting things over the next 12-16 months.

Bring in Giannis to Minneapolis!
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

If only we had cap space, multiple picks, rookies, and role players to offer.

And if only we had two All Star level players to make us look attractive.

Oh wait we wasted that on a guy averaging 3.5 pts per game this series.

Obviously other teams would probably offer more, but we can still offer a decent package. I don't think it's as bad as you say.
Let's say the Bucks get an injury exception for Lillard and decide to rebuild, but still want to be competitive. Lopez is expiring. Giannis would have to force his way here too.
Our package might look something like this:
Giannis ($54, $59, $63)
for
Randle (let's say sign and trade for a backloaded 3/99 contract)
Rudy ($35, $36, $38)
DD ($12, $13)
RD ($7, $7, $9)
Draft picks

Pipedream for sure, but:
Mike-ANT-Jaden-Naz-Giannis

Yeah... The thunder smoke that package with their treasure trove of picks and Holmgren.

Miami is a disgrace tonight.

I think Spoelstra may be available this summer .

Minnesota would not be in this series (nor would they have made it to the Western Conference Finals last year) without making that trade.

Frankly, I have no idea how any Minnesota fans could be negative about the Rudy Gobert trade, given how well it has worked out.

Poor Miami Bam and Jovic and Jaquez Jr. who looked promising last season have just cratered their value this season.

Any Minnesota fan that thinks that trade was a good one is short sighted.

Yeah he would have asked out before even signing his rookie max while we're still making the playoffs. Idiot.

:banghead:

The only thing that trade did was make us competitive enough to get past the first round.

You keep bang your head like that, you will need therapy very soon :D What makes anyone think that Giannis is really available and the GM cares whatever assets you think we may have? Late first round picks are useless for most part. Would Giannis even want to be here?

Funny in a different thread there was no way wolves were getting out of the first round. Now getting past the first round still isn't good enough. So if they make back to bank wcf it's still a bad trade?

This GSW/HOU series is such a physical grind. Someone is going to be beat up pretty good heading into the next round.

18-1 run for GSW to start the 2nd half. Looks like it is going to be 3-1 and Warriors at Wolves sometime next week (depending on how long the series go.)

Someone said Sengun can't play with Gobert but we are watching Sengun playing with Adams against the small ball GSW.

Agreed, it just takes a commitment to it.

Lol I definitely did not say the Wolves weren't gonna win.

WCF? Hold your horses we ain't even done with this series yet.

Also stop acting like Gobert is the one that went out there and carried this team on his back and dropped 43.

Ants/Jadens success does not excuse TCs poor decisions.

What if Bucks want to reload instead of rebuild? Unload Lillard's salary with a couple number #1 and sign an all star free agent? Certainly easier unless they trade Giannis for Cooper Flagg or Wemby.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
