Evan Turner 31 pts 10 reb 6 ast, only negative is that he had 10 turnovers

That's because he is forced to run the offense alone. He'll be great with a reliable PG next to him in Ricky Rubio :D

I've caught some of Georgia Tech's games this past week, and have been surprised how "small" Favors looks. He is not a small guy, but he doesn't stand out as someone that is going to have a dominant NBA body / wingspan like I'd expect out of a concensus top 3 pick of the draft (who doesn't have a dominant college offensive game). He does look like he could be a solid NBA player, but wouldn't be surprised to see him slip a few spots.

Edit - I just noticed that DraftExpress flip-flopped Cousins and Favors

Mbah a Mout made it....

LRMAM is bigger and more athletic than Damian, played on a couple Final Four teams to get noticed, and is a Cameroonian prince.

Varnado is really impressing me against Kentucky. That guy can ball.

You don't think that he'll have a dominant wingspan? I can see the concerns about his body, because thought he's listed at 6'10" (he looks to be around this height) and 245 pounds, he appears to be very skinny still. His wingspan, though, looks freakishly long.

Bigger yes, more athletic, doubt it. Final four, true, Prince, overrated.

There was another similar player too, but it slipped my mind

The Ga Teck website says Favors has a 9'1" standing reach. I don't know how accurate that is since it says he also has over a 9' wingspan which is impossible. Considering he's still only 18 I think he's plenty big for PF and because of his wingspan and athletic ability will actually end up being able to play some center ala Dwight Howard.

I think the top four at this point have to be Wall, Turner, Favors and Cousins, and while Wall is a lock to go #1, I could see some teams picking Favors at #2. I wasn't a fan earlier but now that their guards are actually giving him the ball he's been awesome and their team is playing much better too.

I still have no clue as to why Wall is a lock to go #1..The hype kids like Mayo, Beasley and Wall get coming out of high school is amazing

I'd take Favors or Cousins with the 1st pick and I love Monroe too.

Favors had a nice game today. From looking at DX, 6'-10", 9'-1" standing reach is similar to Anthony Randolph, Earl Clark, Taj Gibson, Brandon Wright, Hilton Armstrong. 1" shorter standing reach than Al Jefferson. Not bad. With his hype, I think I just had expectations that he'd stand out more than this on the college court.

Or Turner..My bad.

Favors has really impressed the hell out of me these last few games. I was way down on the kid for months. But look at him now. Doing what he's doing and he just turned 18.

You can't pass on Favors to draft a PG.

Yea Wall didn't really have the 'wow' factor in this game. Evan Turner has not disappeared in games and has clearly shown leadership and a high set of skills that this team really needs.

Turner > Wall

At this point I'd put the lottery tiers something like this:

Tier 1: Wall

Tier 2: Turner, Favors, Cousins

Tier 3: Monroe, Johnson, Aminu, Aldrich

Tier 4: Davis, Whiteside, Vesely, Motiejunas, Patterson, Anderson, Henry, Udoh

Turner's a better college player but Wall's athleticsm and his ability to run a team make him the #1 for every team, even if they take him to trade him. The one player that could have challenged Wall is Cousins, his length, skill level, and post moves are ridiculous but no way someone takes him #1. He reminds me alot of Eddie Curry, both the good and bad about Curry. I don't think it's likely, but it's certainly possible that either Favors or Cousins go before Turner.

I might have been able to split Tier 4 into 4 and 5 but didn't really want to at this point. I think Whiteside will slide due to questions about his BBIQ and maybe attitude (I think DX tweeted something about this but not sure) and will be a nice value late lotto, kind of like how Anthony Randolph slid. If we go wing (or Wall) w/ the first pick, I'd love to get Vesely, Whiteside or Udoh with the Charlotte pick.

Unfortunately I missed the GT/Duke game. For our sake, I really do hope Favors is a legit top 4 talent in the draft - regardless of how big he is or isn't. Hope GT can win a couple games to see what Favors does in some moe "real" games.

Greg Monroe making the big jump. I love his game, just shocked he's that high. I can't argue too much with it, but I'd probably prefer him in the 5-8 range.

After the Gophers game, I'm off the Evan Turner bandwagon. Now I just want to hit him in the head with a blunt object.
