If anyone sees Wiggins or Parker in town we know Love's destination :)

Yeah, but guys that have the athletic ability to play defense can teach themselves how to be high volume three point shooters. You can't teach shooters to become more athletic. I worry that McDermott and Stauskas are similar to Jimmer. Great shooters, not much else.

McDermott and Stauskas have nothing to do with Jimmer or each other actually, since all of them play different positions and have completely different games.

How many non-shooters athletic defensive players out of college went on to become high volume three point shooters? Could you name a couple of examples?

Care to elaborate on your former point first? Each can shoot, can't play D, and can't do much else but score. I don't see much room for potential upside there.

As to y our second point, I don't care to go through the entire NBA but when I look at the teams in the final 4, I see guys like Leonard, Green, Battier, George, Stephenson, Sefalosha, and Butler as guys that weren't drafted based on their shooting ability, but went on to take a lot of 3 pointers in the NBA.

Probably a good idea.

What I meant is that I see no point in putting all three players in the same category. They're white, not that athletic and can shoot, I get it. But they all play different positions. Being a PG who can shoot well is wildly different from being a PF who can shoot the lights out.

There's a lot of potential on being an elite shooter. Ask Kevin Love, who by the way is not that athletic either. I guess following your logic the Wolves should have kept Mayo or drafted Eric Gordon in that Draft. Even better, Joe Alexander. That guy could jump out of the gym, he'll learn how to shoot at some point.

Leonard was a hell of a pick. There aren't many Leonards in each Draft.

Green was a senior in college who definitely was drafted based on his shooting ability.

Battier exactly the same.

Sefolosha hasn't ever been a high volume shooter, and at no point he's been great at it.

Butler is a horrid three point shooter, although he's young and will probably get better.

Stephenson is nothing like either of the other guys, he plays with the ball on his hands.

lol, this is funny to me, coming from the NFL, pre-draft everything is either hidden or a smoke screen so this just seems like the norm! How many people thought we were in Love with Anthony Barr eh!???

I don't think its about the guys we have already looked at. We are only closing down the media to pre draft work outs, now if we were done with work outs all together, then that would be a red flag.

I McDermott will be an ok defender, much better than Hood, Stauskas, Young and Harris. This is imo why he is ranked much higher than those prospects.

Nah. It's cause he averaged 27 points per game with the entire defense trying to stop him.

Interesting that they're trying to get a guy that they'd need a top 8 pick for to come in and work out.

DX has him mocked at #10, a 3 spot slide isn't unheard of for a guy with as many questions as Gordon has and with the gaping hole we have at backup PF he should definitely be on our radar.

Wouldn't his agent want Gordon to come in to try and prove them wrong?

He probably doesn't want to play in Minnesota

Rumor is that Boston loves him at 6. With limited time and energy for visits, it's not surprising that he doesn't want to use any on a team that's got essentially no chance of drafting him at 13.

I'm guilty of it too, but it's funny how we give any credence to draft rumors at all, especially this far from the draft. Hasn't history told us that it's all BS at this point?
