From Jazz point of view, Kessler and picks was what they wanted. The other players were salary fillers and incentive to move Conley. As it's proven out, non of them could fetch a 1st rounder. So we really should look at the Gobert trade from that perspective and not count Beasley and Bolmaro as #1s to Jazz.
Yeah that's been my biggest takeaway.
Much of the outcry was that we included the picks AND all of those players. Well, Utah didn't really see the value of those players either, and some of them would have had lower values if we kept them on this roster as well (ie Vanderbilt).
Whatever the players do in Los Angeles will have zero bearing on the Gobert trade either. That's Utah's problem now.
