Why were they at a theater?

I think KAT acted in some movie and that movie's premier was happening today

Man I have no idea why he'd be at a movie theater.

He now joins the two Kevins as the only multiple-time all-stars in franchise history.

Deserves it, he's been outstanding for most of the last 2-3 months, his defence is improving constantly and he's the same offensive beast he's been for a while now.

He’s been a beast and pretty much has dominated offensively against gobert head to head. It’s no question he deserved it.

Could we not share fun facts like this, Klomp? It just makes me feel worse about being a Minnesota fan.

Thank goodness Thibs didn't ruin things enough for KAT to sign a shorter extension! That would've been a killer for the franchise at this point.

At this point I don't think contracts matter for star players. AD still has 1 1/2 years left and he's asking for a trade. Butler, and the list goes on. Lets hope KAT stays loyal as long as we continue to "try" and build around him.

Not sure the embarrassment was directed mostly at KAT, but more so at Wiggins.
Thing is KAT took it personally and decided to show Butler up, Wiggins just laid down.

The longer a player has left on his contract, the more value his contract holds in trade talks. The contract having no player option is pretty significant.

Kind of like Wiggins? Dieng?
I think it can go both ways. Good and bad. But I get your point. My point is Towns can ask to be traded anytime like AD, Butler etc. and it seems not much the FO can do about it.

I was referring to stars/superstars, but sure.

Though one could say my point still stands. I never said positive value. Longer contracts on non-stars do hold more negative value than shorter contracts.

The only a franchise can do is embrace his player style, make him part of the decisions and hope the player has honor and act as a (max paid) familiy member.

Obviously win heal things, but you cant control that. You cant have a FO&Coach who dont listen his star players.

We got rid of Butler and fired Thibs mostly because of the **** he put KAT through. We are two years away from having Towns and Wiggins as our only long-term core (I think KAT likes playing with Wiggins and vice versa). Everything we should do from now on is to appease KAT. And I expect us to do that.

So I was watching the new Netflix film, “High Flying Bird,” which is about when the owners locked out the players in 2011. Eighteen minutes in, I was shocked to see an interview with, you guessed it by where I posted, Karl-Anthony Towns.

“I think the biggest rookie mistake that you can make is being satisfied with making it. You know, the satisfaction of making the NBA is the night of the draft when you get drafted, the night after the draft, or the day after the draft I’ll even give the rookies, but there shouldn’t be no satisfaction when you get to work.

When you get to work, you’ve already had the glory, you’ve been been patted on the back enough about making it to the NBA. It’s time for work now. Now you have to fight to keep your job every single day, and being satisfied with making it and just running through the motions, is the biggest mistake any rookies can make.”

There is a thread on the Trade Board right now about trading KAT while his value is high. I think it’s ridiculous. I mentioned his offense, his character, his 5.5 years locked into his contract, and his incredible health. But the main reason we shouldn’t lose this guy is because of this attitude. This is a mature kid, who gets it. The reason he is so good now, and will get better, is that he understands being satisfied means stalling.

I hope Andrew Wiggins watches Netflix.
