just sprint in a direction, when they cut you off, do a spin move - spin move dribble that is (half circle + L2 I think), not the spin move finish (Y button towards hoop) that spin move finish sucks, totally useless move. Hop step finish is pretty awesome though, works really good for Beasley. Hesitation cross and fake cross work great too. If they're on it, do the double cross, or hesitation cross followed by a spin back the other direction.

in the open court the quick cross works really well - you're sprinting one direction, then pull L2 and cross em over. They almost never hang w/ that move.

As for defense, its hard. The best thing is to look at it as trying to put your guy in their way as a stationary obstacle more than trying to shadow their path. When I have the L2 button down and try to read their moves and shadow them, they always get by me. I just try to make subtle moves on the joystick and just get in their way, when they run into you they usually pass it or back up. When they go into And 1 mode on you on the perimeter, dont do anything, just let them finish their nonsense and they'll start strafing back and forth again or chuck a jumper. The hard part is playing w/ default sliders on the higher difficulty levels because they'll kill you w/ jumpers all day.

Thanks for the tips. I need to work on that more. Haven't been able to do anything with Wesley but really I just can't get by people. I mainly rely on screens and post plays.

You got some nice plays Klomp. Seems like I can't hit contested jumpers ever.

My rookies are so awesome. Check out Brady schooling Cousins. I guess it didn't make the cut but this is all prompted by a monster jam.

It's epic. I got it for 360, graphics are awesome, controls and everything are great. Probably the game of the year.

Yea I rented it. Probably an hour in or so and I like it so far. The graphics, especially at the beginning, were pretty jarring.

Man, Brady has so much personality. I loved this play because the Bulls were abusing us when this happened. Brewer was trying to get another easy bucket but Brady wasn't having it. Gave him a hard foul and then he screamed in his face LOL. I don't know if you can see the scream in this clip but watching it in action, it as pretty badass. I like how Brewer can't even look at him.

I don't know what Brady was doing here. That a Josh Smith dunk?

So it sounds like Sony is slowly bringing the PSN back online. Hopefully they read "Hacking for Dummies" in the meantime. Expecting them to sandbox credit card info or set it as expiring is too much to ask I'm afraid. I'm so glad that I didn't buy the DLC for Marvel Ultimate Alliance or provide my actual personal information.

In honor of the draft I tried out Madden 11 and got a roster/draft class off OS. I fantasy drafted an up and coming defense and then got Julio Jones and Cam Newton in the draft. The team is a blast to play with and Jones may be the greatest player I've ever used in any Madden/NCAA game. He's a combination of Calvin Johnson/Steve Smith (CAR) without the injuries. Total beast.

Now I'm going to confuse everyone, possibly myself too, because the Rubio I created in My Player was just created to the Timberwolves. This is different from the one I've been talking about, including the videos and the 17 assist game.

Got traded there from Memphis for Tolliver. Both Flynn and Ridnour are starting ahead of me. In first game against New York, Ricky got 8 points and 13 assists in 15 minutes off the bench.

You can download 2 of 5 games from Playstation and surprisingly some don't suck: Dead Nation, inFAMOUS, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, or Wipeout HD + Fury. Those games btw must be downloaded within the next 30 days.

Dead Nation and Super Stardust look look terrible. I'm going to opt for Wipeout and LittleBigPlanet.

I've heard Super Stardust is really good, actually.

LBP is pretty fantastic, not sure about Wipeout. Can't really go wrong with any of those games though. My roommate loves inFAMOUS.

In my first five games with Rubio in Minnesota, he already has two 13 assist games and one 14 rebound game (with 9 assists).

Wipeout is a pretty fun racing game. It was a huge hit on the PS1 and has done pretty well with it's sequels. I like how smooth the game feels, and it has a pretty cool soundtrack.

What is everyones thoughts/impressions on LA Noir so far? The game looks pretty cool, but I'm not the biggest Rockstar fan. I thought Red Dead Redemption was going to be an awesome game, but it fell short of my expectations.

Anyone pick up L.A. Noire and have any thoughts on it so far? I could use a new game I'm really considering buying it. I've been a fan of Rockstar games (GTA series mostly) so I figure I'll probably like it, also saw it had a lot of good reviews.

Have you played Red Dead Redemption? I would pick that up before LA Noire. You can probably get it for a lot less used than LA Noire new and it' sounds like it's right up your alley.

LA Noire looks to have really, really great reviews but I would wait a while to play. A lot of these Rockstar games have a ton of hype coming in and I think it's better to play them after the fact. I've heard it is very linear and is sort of a mix between Phoenix Wright and GTA. Probably better to rent it than buy it since it is so story driven.

I've been playing rdr online for the past two days. People finally skip the bag games to get to the next shootout. I'd been waiting for LA Noire since 06 or 07 when the ad for it first came out. Not sure when I'll get it now. I'm still waiting for that Indiana Jones game that had a trailer with Indy fighting a guy on top of a trolley.

*Some of the rdr maps are so small. 4-8 ppl is fun but then when its like 12 you get killed not long after spawning. Has anyone downloaded any of the dlc packs for it? I'm thinking of getting the pack with rdrevolver characters, tomahawk, and new shootout maps (tall trees, thieves landing). I imagine those maps get ALOT less traffic. The tall trees one looks awesome.

Now that I mentioned rdrevolver I need to say that the multiplayer on that is much more fun. Characters have diff specials and guns than eachother instead of everyone having dead eye. I've never even used dead eye while playing rdredemption online.

Big day today. A forum poster on another site gave me a coupon which would knock $100 off a new PS3. I have been waiting to get one for a while, I was hoping for a $50 price drop after E3. Well $100 is much better than I expected so I jumped on it. LA Noire also came arrived at my door. So I got a lot of games to tackle.

Happy all this went down today becasue now when the lottery lets me down I'll have something to take my mind off of it right away.
