This Aaron Hernandez case is pretty serious. Just got arrested then proceeded to be cut by the Pats. Juicy story.

And I once again wonder why NBA players have such a bad reputation yet so many Football players are arrested, tried and sentenced for serious crimes such as murder, rape etc. It's freaking mind boggling.

The NFL definately has more thugs, like the Lions team last year. The NBA used to have players like that, like in the 90's, doesnt seem like it anymore though.

it's a long shot defense since he's only 23 instead of 33, but at some point his attorneys will pull out the hail mary tactic of cat scanning his **** up brain and blame the bully NFL since we now know they've long since been hiding the secret evidence that getting drilled in the head a 1,000 times a year isn't actually good for the brain, but may very well be bad. Its such a potentially ground breaking revelation and somebody needs to get a crack team of junior high physics teachers on this enigma pronto. Every year the NFL is turning otherwise wonderful, warm, loving individuals into violent, depressed monsters just so Roger Goodell can make more money. Yes you've made a lot of money Mr. Goodell, but at what cost? AT WHAT COST?!!??!

Does anyone remember Rick Rickert(former mr basketball Minnesota, played at Minnesota for 4 years and was drafted by the T'wolves in the 2nd round 2003)? He plays down here in New Zealand(and around the world) and has for several years and also has played for our New Zealand Breakers in the ANBL I think he got New Zealand Citizenship to play the ANBL. Just thought I'd ask if anyone has any memories of him since he is from and has so many connections to Minnesota bball.

I remember that Garnett punched him in the face because he scored on Garnett and his teammates made fun of him, so when Rickert scored on him again Garnett punched him in the face.

i'm kind of going ot in an ot thread, but whenever someone mentions the rickert incident, i always think of garnett punching szczerbiak incident. they go hand in hand.

Even without the KG punch incident I'd remember him. That name just really got stuck in my head.

Played against his Duluth East team in HS. I very distinctly remember sometime around the middle of the second quarter he was getting a bit tired so he just pulled up shortly after taking the ball across half court and burried a 3. We lost something like 86-24
