Because he was billed as the next Rudy Gobert. The only thing more entertaining than that is having the actual Rudy Gobert and we all know that would never happen… oh wait ;) ;) ;)

I believe it. I still think eye drops and an umbrella is the perfect response. I will let you figure out how and why.

You're taking it way too seriously. Obviously it would not happen. Kind of like the Wolves trading for GoBear

I predicted the Wolves selection of Walker Kessler and Endorsed it. Walker may be the second coming of Rudy Gobert and the Wolves may live to really regret that trade as much as I love Rudy.

WALKER KESSLER
C, UTAH JAZZ
Walker Kessler
Walker Kessler shot 8-of-10 from the field and 1-of-3 from the foul line in Wednesday's 131-128 win over the Raptors, scoring 17 points with 14 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and seven blocks in 30 minutes.
Hindsight is 20/20, especially regarding the NBA Draft, but there may need to be an investigation into how Kessler went 22nd overall back in June. He's proven to be the crown jewel of the package Utah received from Minnesota in exchange for Rudy Gobert. Kessler matched his season-high with seven rejections while recording his 11th double-double

Walker probably won't win RoY, but maybe he should. Right now he is a better player than Banchero who has really faded after a hot start.

For a rookie, his impact on some (not all) games is incredible. As Twolves west, I’ve watched a lot of jazz games. He really is an insane defender. Who also has really good touch. In a redraft, he goes really really high.

Sunk cost, and he’s never been a Wolf. He doesn’t need his own thread here.

this is a sports message board. What ifs and speculation are a big part of that. I like Rudy. In hindsight I would not have made the deal for him. Hopefully we go far in this years playoffs.

A Ray Allen thread would have run for twenty years.

Congrats...

If I recall, you were one of the loudest voices in favor of the Gobert trade. Unfortunately, he hasn't come close to meeting the expectations you showered the forum with.

He's been injured and KAT's been injured and my hopes and dreams for our team have not lived up to my expectations. I still think we could advance in this years playoffs, but seeing how good Kessler is I would in hindsight not have made the trade. If we win a title with Gobert I will go back to being glad we made the deal.

It was started right after he was drafted, before he was traded. At the time, a thread was warranted.

But why they didn't instead bump the "former Wolves" thread, I'm not sure...
