Re: 2023 Free Agency
Everytime DDV is mentioned, I can't help but picture him as Vinny Delnegro. DDV looks a lot more athletic than what I envision VDN.
There are a couple other potential FA PG options out there: Cory Joseph, Dennis Smith, Ryan Aricidiacono, Kemba Walker, George Hill, Aaron Holiday, John Wall, Shake Milton, Jevon Carter, etc. Some of them may be looking for more than we have to pay, but a few of these guys will not get more than what we could offer.

Re: 2023 Free Agency
Let's say we work out a Prince trade for Morris, would Cam Reddish sign of veteran minimum contract?
Prince, McClaughlin and Moore jr. for Morris
Conley, Morris
Edwards, NAW
McDaniels, Reddish, Minott
Towns, Anderson, Miller
Gobert, Reid

Certainly an upgrade over Prince, no?
He made approximately $19M last season. This would likely require letting NAW and Prince walk.

I guess Massey might not be a reliable source.

He has been on a pretty steady decline.

Isn’t he made of glass? I’d rather not lose two useful players for someone probably due to miss a lot of games.

Re: 2023 Free Agency
LeVert is interesting. He can do some of everything quite well, but nothing truly exceptionally.
But he's hurt A LOT. Going all the way back to his final two years in college. Last year was his healthiest ever at 74 games. But it was only the 2nd time he's hit 50 games since 2017 (his 2nd season).

Can't hit 3s on consistent basis either. He had two disappointing season with Cavs. Almost a duplicate of NWA maybe just a little better but not much.

Re: 2023 Free Agency
Levert is a sold player when healthy, and has really good playoffs stats. The reason I don't have an issue moving on from Prince is his availability, he is hurt every few games. Levert doesn't fix that problem, as he is hurt more often than Prince.

Re: 2023 Free Agency
I'd be happy with LeVert at a decent price. If we could get him for around $24M/3 years it would make sense. I'd be opposed to going much beyond that. I'm expecting somebody to pay him a lot more than the Wolves can or should.

I would only give Caris a one-year deal. The Wolves need backcourt scoring off the bench. Hopefully, they can find a scorer in the 2024 draft. I see Caris as only a one-year stop gap until the 24 offseason.

If I read you right. Prince is a log jam and MIA at the same time. LeVert is just MIA. It's a good think Rivers, Nowell and JMcL was so bad last year that anything feel like an upgrade. He is definitely not the 3pt shooter Connelly was looking for.

Re: 2023 Free Agency
Lavert is not good. Can put up some numbers but has never been a guy that plays real well with ball not in his hand. Without looking at advanced stats, doesn’t seem like a winning player. The fact that the Cavs are letting him walk when they are desperate for any type of wing with size should tell you something. I’d rather have NAW/TP.

I question the rumor.

C’mon Jon, Woj or Shams. 30 minutes left for MIN’s decision on Prince.
