People question the fit because everything OKC does on offense is based on having 5 guys on the floor that can shoot. Its why Giddy basically fell out of the rotation.

Exactly. I like IH, I like OKC, I like big ball, but Chet is the natural C in their five out system. You need a big floor spacing PF tower to fit next to him. Not a taller version of Josh Giddey.

Hart is not Josh Giddey.

Of course not, they have different names and Hart isn’t a pedophile. But they do have similar games in the ways that matter to OKC.

He’s saying Hart is a non-perimeter shooter like Rudy and that is correct.

That’s why he said “type”.

He can make threes if they ask that of him. 33.3% shooter. Not ideal, but not bad either. Why does OKC need him to be a perimeter shooter anyway. I see no need for that. OKC obviously sees no need for that either.

His career percent is 31 on low volume of course. If OKC wanted him to make some threes he could. OKC doesn't have to have 5 high level 3 point shooters on the court at all times. Proof of that is their signing Hart.

Both are good passers, who will be left open from deep. Both allow teams to pack the paint. Good enough.

OKC knows they have to match DEN and MIN’s size in the Western Conference playoffs.

True. I agree they needed to get bigger. But Chet can be guarded by MPJ or Jaden. He is not a true big on offense, and his primary value on defense is as a shot blocker. It’s like us trying to move Rudy to PF so KAT can play Center. They needed to get bigger, but they got the wrong big man.

We disagree. They only got the wrong big man from the perspective of their opponents. Hart is great.

I just saw something on hoopshype that is very interesting/troubling. It seems that the Spurs are very interested in trading for Lauri, and the belief around the league is he is available. I assume the Wolves picks would likely be part of the eventual deal. Can you imagine if Utah moves to acquire our 30 pick swap and 31 unprotected. They would own our 25, swap 26, 27, protected 29, protected pick swap 30, and 31. We better watch ourselves when we play them, they may get dirty.

KG, you take things so literally that it’s painful to read sometimes.

I agree that KG is generally stubborn, but I am inclined to back him up on this one. He just disagrees with me on how their games will fit into the roles available in OKC. I strongly disagree with KG, but I respect his take nevertheless.

Yep. I understand what you’re saying. I just want KG to understand what others are saying.

I'm not sure if Hartenstein is a bigger win for OKC or loss for NY.

Knicks just got a lot smaller and are really reliant on Robinson to stay healthy.

They put a lot of money into him and Aaron Wiggins today. They decided these are the guys to take them to the top.

I'm not so sure...

I don’t know if they think Precious is the answer, but for their sake I hope not. I really don’t like their offseason so far. The Bridges trade might backfire sooner than you think and in a really big way.

Hartenstein had decent games against the Pacers in the playoffs, but what big doesn’t play well against the soft Indiana defense? From what I saw the rest of the post season he aint worth that big contract..

LOL what.

They added a backup shooting guard who's a sniper who was the #2 option in GS. In DAL, he's option #4.

Their lineup is still the same.

They were paying Hardaway Jr the same amount. They upgraded from Hardaway to Klay.

They swapped Jones for Marshall. They are slightly better. Not sure what you are talking about.

He was the number 2 option because of Kerr, gs wish Klay would play less, he’s a HUGE reason why they missed the playoffs.
