It's early but here's our draft board:

1. John Wall
2. Derrick Favors
3. Ed Davis
4. Cole Aldrich
5. Evan Turner
6. Soloman Alabi
7. Xavier Henry
8. Al-Farouq Aminu
9. Willie Warren
10. Devin Ebanks.
Subject to change by the minute

I left Donatas Moteijunas off the list because I don't know enough about him at this point.

Also, I took need into consideration, but if John Wall or Derrick Favors are staring us in the face we better grab them and sort it out later.

Soloman Alabi and Xavier Henry may be a little high for some people. Soloman Alabi can give us that shotblocker we've been craving. Xavier Henry would fit nicely since we need someone that has range on their shot.

Any obvious players that I'm missing at this point?

Turner should be above Aldrich. Warren should be higher, I don't want him but he's a talented guy and should probably be top 5.

What about Monroe as a 5 instead of Aldrich? Is he too small?

Le's keep our eye on Paul George too.

I don't like Ed Davis at all. Seen him 4 x this year, every time he's very passive, not that athletic at all. Sure he has good size, but in the NBA not as much.

He looks uncoordinated and slow to me compared to some freaks in the nba. I don't think he's a top 5 pick, maybe not a top 10 pick.

top 5 talents in draft imo..

john wall
Favors
Turner
Warren ( not the ideal fit for us, but great skill)
Aldrich ( much more athletic than davis/monroe) phsyical, blocks shots, rebounding skills

just missing - Aminu, paul george, ebanks.

Right now, I want the 1st pick to draft wall, or the 3rd pick to draft either Turner or Favors.

I think Wall is the best talent, and Turner fills the biggest need(skill set wise)...but favors seems like he could dominate inside in a couple of years...

Question: With the 2nd pick, would you draft Favors and keep Love and Jefferson, or would you want to trade KLove or Jefferson...I am curious who you think would fit better next to Favors

Here's a link to a recent DraftExpress article on Montiejunas:
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Don ... unas-1300/

I am always hesitant because every 7 ft. European scorer makes me cringe cause I think more about Nick Skeetishvilli than Dirk Nowitzki.

I'd stay away from Montiejunas.

He doesn't start on his own team, they don't run offense through him, he admittedly is way too skinny for his European league.

Just too many if's there. He is far from NBA ready physically and only averages a few mins in Europe.

With a top 3 pick which we will have, or around there, you can't miss.

Wall or Turner or Favors are the 3. Aldrich if we pick around 5, he would really help out our interior with rebounds and blocked shots and a presence.

If we did get Favors, you have to believe Al Jefferson may be moved, As I think they value Love perhaps more long term.

If we drafted Favors, a 3 man rotation between him/Love/Big Al would be ridiculous. They would be on the short side, but they would present alot of mismatches in our favor as well. We could work that lineup for a few years until we have an idea of who fits together the best in the front court, then ship out the other player for spare parts.

The thing that concerns me about Willie Warren is his jump shot. He also hasn't proven whether he's a point or shooting guard yet either. He's damn exciting to watch though, it seems like he can get where he wants on the floor against anyone.

yeah i really like warren, I just don't know where he fits in on this current team....

A flynn/Warren back court is way too small.

Ya, if we weren't inundated with point guards already then Warren would be a home run.

What do you think about Xavier Henry so far?

I like Henry. I think he's a nice shooter, decent, but not great athlete. I think he's best suited to play at least 2 years of college ball though.

If we get that Utah pick, and he's available or we could trade up a little bit for him, i'd do it.

With a top 5 pick, I don't touch Henry though.

Thoughts on Wesley Johnson? His name seems to be moving up now that he had the big game against UNC, and he's got great size/athleticism. He's 22 though, and I've got to say that his changing schools several times and his "meh" sophomore year creates some questions.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Once again. I do not think Henry will be special at the pro level. I have watched some of the games due to Aldrich and he looks like a role player for me. A good role player, but nothing special. Turner or bust for me.

I believe he was hurt quite a bit during his sophomore year which is why his numbers weren't better. Boeheim normally stays away from transfers and had to be approached several times by his assistant before he even took a look at Wesley. He also spoke to Iowa State's coach who had nothing but praise for the kid.

He's all dunks and layups. Yes, we need more of those, but I wonder if AFA is more of a PF than a SF. Good news is that he can probably guard both.
