I do think these 1-on-none workouts are overrated. You should be able to get all the info you need about his game from tape and coach interviews. I do think it is important he makes it here for an interview; measurements; and most importantly, a full medical exam though.

Ok now I get it. I thought you meant he changed his mind and was working out for the Lakers.

Okafor looks a bit slimmer.

Just wait till he stubs his toe again and gets depressed and puts on 20 pounds mid season because he's a head case like anthony bennett.

If I was a Wolves fan, and they passed on Towns, I would send the front office a letter returning my season tickets, and explaining why I would be finding a new team to support. It's that much of a no-brainer.

How is it that much of a no brainer. There hasn't been a big man with Okafor's post moves since Duncan. That is almost 20 years ago. So we are talking about a once in 20 years offensive big man who can develop into a solid defender. The list of guys who entered the NBA as below average/average defenders and were very successful is quite long. Okafor isn't a finished total package at 19. He has areas he needs to improve.

Na my season tickets will be very much enjoyed no matter if it is Okafor, Towns, or Russell.

Such a no brainer that Okafor was considered the top pick the majority of the season

Not making anything up, go read the article, he got hurt mid season and put on weight mid season, try and tell me that isn't true! If you're that soft mentally that you can't control your eating when you get injured then **** that's a major red flag.

And I love Okafor, he's the 3rd best prospect in this draft and would be a great pick up for anyone with the 3rd pick once Towns and Russell are off the board. Unfortunately for him we have the #1 pick so he's off my radar.

I've been 51% Towns and 49% Okafor ... I have posted a few times that Russell is a possibility.

The more I think about it, the more I see a very dynamic trio: Rubio/Russell/Lavine.
PG/SG = Rubio/Russell/Lavine
SG/SF = Wiggins
SF/PF = Bazz
PF = KG/Bjelica
C = Pek/Dieng

??? = Martin, Bud, Bennett Hummel Payne ... can any of these guys with a 3nd rounder get us a big?

The whole challenge would be to trading back up for an interior defender.

Since he had to rest after the ankle injury and gained weight, he is soft? Ok.

I think it's legit to criticize Okafor for his defensive effort and inability to dominate the defensive glass, but not because he gained a few pounds after a pretty bad ankle sprain. Only someone that has never had one would say something like that.

If Al Jefferson went to college, he'd be considered the next Tim Duncan as well.

I'm slightly leaning towards Towns right now, simply because I think we would have more flexibility finding a second legit big starting alongside Towns. I think he could play as well with a legit 7 footer as with a prototypical power forward like Randolph or Millsap. Curious if a starting lineup of Towns and Dieng would work. :confused:

I think it is definitly more difficult to find a matching piece to Okafor (see Pekovic, Nikola).

Yeah, seems like if you get Towns it's a lot easier to go all in on an offensive PF like even a kevin love or lamarcus aldridge but if you found a kevin garnett than you're talking about a top defensive team that's still decent on offense and that's super scary. If you go Okafor you gotta hope like heck you can find a kevin garnett at PF and we've seen serge ibaka's don't come along very often and there aren't really ANY of them available in FA ever either.

Yep, the only defensive minded PF I can think of right now are Ibaka, Favors and Henson, two of which basically are unattainable for us...
