The real issue here is the timing. If he'd said it 2 weeks ago it would have made sense. Right now it's undermining a new coach before he's gotten a chance to start, whether he intended that or not.

It's pretty clear he's frustrated and see's the new coach not changing enough. He wants this changed and probably wants out if it won't. Earlier he had already made a comment the coach hadn't spoken to him yet that sounded like he felt left out already. He cares enough about what is happening to want to help but as I think he's finding out Rosas just brought him in as a vet to babysit, not necessarily lead anything. This is what happens when you allow the last two top draft picks take take on point guard offensive leading duties early in the season and then when it starts to fail just claim it's a development year for them. Of course the vets are pissed to be stuck in that kind of thing again.

I think Ricky has two types of gears. One where he is all about helping the players around him and feeding them and while in this gear he just completely shuts the switch off for shooting. I think the team asked him to be that Ricky this season so he started that way. His other gear is engaging in shooting and being more aggressive for himself on offense. I think the latter is a better gear for him personally. He switched into that gear when he was getting traded away from here the first time, before he was even finally moved. It rolled into Utah, kicked back in when sent to Suns. Those teams weren't asking him to solely feed their new rookies or one good player like happens here. Those teams expected him to play.

In Today's Char game Ricky had way more shots than typical and shot 63% FG and 66% 3FG on 11 shots for 20 points, 9 assists, and 4 boards in 23 minutes. This is the aggressive "I'll show yer ass" Ricky and boy he needs to stay in this gear and show these idiots how to fight for it. This is how he can lead by example if they won't listen to him. And this is how he becomes trade valuable and I think he knows it. That's mighty impressive production for 23 minutes of play.

Might be Ricky's last game in a Wolves uni...we'll see.

Really wish this season was a healthy one, we better get a top 3 pick, Cade or Suggs would change this franchise

Now it's Towns with the poor timing. He isn't happy with what the team's doing and he too made it known after the game. Shame on him!

Ricky haters are having a field day in twitter with that possession.
I just want him out of Minny as soon as possible. Worst decision in his career by far to come back. I don't know what Ryan and Rosas told him, but I thought he was more intelligent than that.

So you can contribute by saying when it would be the right time, to let me get it right.

Thanks in advance!

Klomp could easily trust the process for another decade and would still be convinced the Wolves are just a move away from being a top team.

It's too bad because overall he had a great efficient and productive game and the new coach only played him 23 minutes. If this coach cared about winning he would have sat one of these other jokes more and ran Rubio for 33 minutes or more that game. Maybe the coach noticed him getting tired/sloppy and making mistakes and shut it down. But It's more likely that other players needed to be seen more for trade reasons, or this coach is just another in a long line of those that can't see the hot hands and keep them going.

63/66/100 and 20 pts on 11 shots
20/4/9 in 23 minutes could have easily ended up a doubleD or tripleD with more time.

Never was a Rubio decision, it wasn't Rubio worst decision, was Rosas one.

Man, I remember when we first traded Rubio, I was so happy, I was so upset of airball, failed layups and so poor %.

And when I saw that S. Bey was still available and we traded the pick and Johnson for Rubio was a real comedown. And what was more funny? The resentful fanboys coming out cause Thibs traded him to form the first winning team in almost two decades.

And now we have Rubio every two or three days slashing the team in the media, and we cannot forget the trash he played in the beginning of the season.

I cannot wait for the day he left the team once and for all. And please, take Rosas with you paquete.

Isn't that the fake site? I forget already but there was one with oodles of rumors of Wolves players being made available or interest in players with eye catching article titles.

To form a 1 year playoff team he dismantle a team full of promising guys like Lavine(All Star) and a good pg to give the dimes and defend, masterful decision as we have seen.
About the decision to come back, is well documented that they talked with Ricky to know if he was ok about going back to Minny, and he agreed, so, yeah, I think it was wrong from both parts.
Keep hating Ricky for saying things that need to be said or for not being a scoring point guard or for whatever reason you have, is up to you

I think Rubio should focus the rest of his career on becoming an aggressive offensive player, scoring for himself and passing when forced to. Focus on that shooting and setting himself up for good shots and the assists and creating opportunities for others will come naturally. Stop thinking about teammates first. Think of them as the last resort.
