Seems like what is happening. Everything went quiet...to wait for the date I think. I'm concerned about which names are involved in total.

I don’t think OKC wants to give out another big contract. They have the highest payroll this year.

So themight want o get out from Adams contract.

But nobody know if Roberson will be the same again with his injur.

What do you think about:
Knight, Chriss, Gordon, 4 FRPs for Butler and Gibson?

If that's what it is, at least they can start to move on. This season will be rough but at least fun in getting to see these other players and rookies more.

Yeah, but I just hope that MIA make final run with Richardson, Whiteside + FRP for Dieng, Butler. Or PHI will offer Saric, Covington, FRP for Butler.

P.S. I expect Butler to not play this week. So probably the game vs MIL was his last game with us.

Paul Allen from KFAN said this morning on his radio show that his source tells him Butler will be moved in the next 24-72 hours. He named HOU and PHI as the most likely destinations. The only way I can be happy with the reported HOU offer is if Gordon is involved and all four (4) picks have NO protections of any kind. My preferred haul from PHI would be:

Philly In: Robert Covington ($10.5M), Mike Muscala ($5.0M Expiring), Zhaire Smith ($2.6M), Landry Shamet ($1.7M) & 2019 FRP (PHI)
(***Could also go Saric ($2.5M) & Bayless ($8.5M) in place of RoCo)

Minny Out: Jimmy Butler ($20.0M)

C KAT/Dieng/Patton
PF Gibson/Tolliver/Muscala
SF Wiggins/Smith/KBD
SG Covington/Okogie/Shamet
PG Teague/Rose/Jones

Eric Gordon and 4 unprotected picks? I'd bite their hand off. Pretty please.

Is Gordon even worth the fuss? He's injury prone, relatively old, and was never a great defender, and worse yet, his offensive production has fallen right off a cliff this season. Right now he's shooting a horrifying 32%, 23% 3PT FG, with a godawful 7.93 PER. That's from a guy whose primary asset is scoring. Admittedly, that's from a handful of games, but it's gotta give you pause. And his contract runs for one more year after this one for $12+ mill. He's not, right now, the kind of guy you hold this kind of trade up for.

That is correct. But fills our need as shooter and veteran.

It’s a valid concern and viewpoint on Gordon, Liberty. Gordon doesn’t keep us in the playoff hunt and my thought would be to move Gordon to another playoff bound team like MIL in exchange for an unprotected FRP (mid 20's) and expiring contracts.

My favorite deal would be a Richardson package. The four picks could be better in the long rub but I'd love to have a new starting 2 who can defend and shoot some threes that's locked down on a good deal. I also would love to see KAT play more 4 in bring in someone like Whiteside to work the glass and play inside defense. On top of that I'd like to not have to play Butler 4 times a season for the next several years.

I would tend to agree with this, Calinks:

MIA In: Butler ($20M) and Dieng ($15M)
MIA Out: Whiteside ($24M), Richardson ($9M) and 2019 FRP (MIA)

MIN In: Whiteside ($24M), Richardson ($9M) and 2019 FRP (MIA)
MIN Out: Butler ($20M) and Dieng ($15M)

C - Whiteside/Gibson/Patton
PF - KAT/Tolliver/Gibson
SF - Wiggins/KBD/Nunnally
SG - Richardson/Okogie
PG - Teague/Rose/Jones

Yea, with that team we have an outside chance of making a playoff push this season but we also got something we can build on going forward. The draft picks trade takes us out of playoff contention I think but that can be good too for the future as we will probably wind up with a pick in the top 10. It will be back to scrapping at the barrel though trying top build a playoff team up.

Except his shot is awful this year. I don't like the trade, unless they are unprotected.
Circle back to Miami and get them one last chance to make a trade.

If it's with Houston I see it being 4 unprotected FRP if it's Knight and Chriss and if it's Gordon then 3 FRP with 2023 having top 3-5 protections.

I really like the potential of Saric, but I'm sure the cost control and fit of RoCo is something they're really interested in. Zhaire Smith could be fun off the bench with Okogie.

I am thinking this may be my favorite outcome of this current mess as well. However, I would quickly package Teague and Gibson to someone for a starting SF and roll with Richardson at point. Before anyone says anything Richardson has played some point for the Heat, and looked good.

PG - Richardson, Rose, Jones
Sg - Wiggins, Okoge
Sf - (Ariza), KBD
PF - Towns, Tolliver, (Bender)
C - Whiteside, (Chandler)

If that Philly trade had any merit (it doesn’t…my idea only), this would be an interesting young core to build around starting in 2019/20:

C/F – Karl Anthony Towns ($27M)
W – Andrew Wiggins ($27M)
C/F – Gorgui Dieng ($16M) (Moved to another team w/the PHI 2019 FRP?)
W – Robert Covington ($10M)
C/F – Justin Patton ($3M)
SG – Zhaire Smith ($3M)
W – Josh Okogie ($3M)
F – Keita Bates Diop ($1M)
G – Landry Shamet ($1M)

That’s $91M in salary and the projected Salary Cap for 2019/20 is $109M and change which leaves us with approximately $18M in cap space to fill out the roster. This assumes that Teague opts out for more long-term guaranteed money and that.

C – KAT/Patton
PF – Dieng/KBD
SF – Wiggins/Okogie
SG – Covington/Smith
PG – Shamet/2019 MIN FRP

How accurate is Paul Allen? Isn't he dealing with a diamond company now?

Believe it or not, PA might be a bigger NBA fan than NFL fan. He does have some credible sources so we'll see if he's on to something or just on something.
