I struggle to think of any player I would less like on my books, or in my locker room, than Hassan Whiteside.

https://overcast.fm/+Jm8fSVakk/59:29 Bill Simmons opening up, does not like how Butler has lead.

I really like the potential of Saric, but I'm sure the cost control and fit of RoCo is something they're really interested in. Zhaire Smith could be fun off the bench with Okogie.
How accurate is Paul Allen? Isn't he dealing with a diamond company now?
Believe it or not, PA might be a bigger NBA fan than NFL fan. He does have some credible sources so we'll see if he's on to something or just on something.
Okay, thanks bro.

Here's a question.....
Are the people who don't want Richardson (aka a role player) as the central part of a Heat package the same people campaigning for Covington (aka a role player) as the central part of a Sixers package?

I am fine with either player, think Covington right now is a better player in terms of being a 3&D player for us but Richardson is young with a higher upside.both would be good get but the real question is in those two deals what else is added.IF we can get Covington plus lets say Sacric or Fultz I would say that better then any deal that the Heat are willing to do.

People quickly forget about Gordon history. He is being perfectly used and motivated in Houston. He has the knees of a 50 yr old. He probably doesn't have much longer in the nba.LibertyPrime wrote:Is Gordon even worth the fuss? He's injury prone, relatively old, and was never a great defender, and worse yet, his offensive production has fallen right off a cliff this season. Right now he's shooting a horrifying 32%, 23% 3PT FG, with a godawful 7.93 PER. That's from a guy whose primary asset is scoring. Admittedly, that's from a handful of games, but it's gotta give you pause. And his contract runs for one more year after this one for $12+ mill. He's not, right now, the kind of guy you hold this kind of trade up for.

I don't think Covington is the main piece, it's either Fultz or Saric.
And I agree with twix2500 about Eric Gordon, he's in the perfect situation and his body is close to falling apart.

That's not a glowing endorsement to call home about. Is it all about his media venting about coaching. Or was there off court stuff I dont know about?

Whiteside Richardson FRP
Butler Dieng
According to me it is the best package we could accept
Towns Whiteside could be nice

My over all opinion is we pushing for Gordon and Houston is saying no and offering knight. So if it becomes knight and 4 FRP vs Gordon and 3 FRP , then I take Gordon and use the next 24 hours to shop the hell out of him..
Detroit needs a scoring punch.
Leuer, Stanley Johnson and 2020 top 5 protected FRP..
adds 5 FRP .. team shouldn’t fall off that much current path.
Then look to trade teague and Gibson for youth and picks and have a goal by trade deadline to be up 6-7 FRP over the next 7 years .. look at godfather offers for towns. His flaws are real. Does a team get desperate and look at wiggins ?

Geez man....Why not just sell the team and move?
Can you give an example of what a "Godfather" offer is? And how would that effect Towns once he finds out?

If u think butler being pissy is just his drama.. it’s a sign also that no star will come here. Towns and Wiggins are both pretty players. But as of right now.. be honest. Is towns good enough to be in the top tier of the nba? We know what klove empty stats look like.. will towns single handily lead your team to wins?? Every team knows if players have that instinct to will teams to win.. if a team like LA offered u a Houston for butler kind of deal, do u think about it.. all I am saying is be honest: we know after butler leaves, we will drop hard in the standings.. not because we are a bad team, but because the guy who was willing the players to win is gone.. look at lakers.. lebron is already willing that horrible team to being competitive.. u surround him with good talent next year and watch out again.. this isn’t meant to be hateful.. but I’m taking the opposite stance in this thread so u think outside the box.. I do that a lot here so people take off the goggles and look around ..

To add to the above.. look at AD.. last year he was a top ten talent.. he willed his team to the playoffs.. he lead them to wins in the playoffs.. listen to him talk now.. he is now part of the elite.. but it took that step..
can wiggins or towns become that next step? Instead of box scores of 20/10... wins is what matters.. can he become that? Does he have the mamba makeup??
Don’t get me wrong.. I’m here to stay:. That’s A fans life.. but let’s make sure we pay attention to reality .. and let’s hope it clicks..

Hard to argue against. Even before camp I thought that was a fair deal (w/FRP). Josh Rich is a solid 2-way starter on a value contract (3yrs, opt out 4) and Whiteside can dominate the paint. Also like Whiteside and Teague coming off the books at the same time ($46M). Might be last best chance at FA with Towns and Wiggins still under contract.
