JJJ is made of glass, no thanks.
If wolves are fortunate to get the number one pick again try to trade down to 3/4 get a 2022 frp and take one of the Jalens and call it a day.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
Potential dream scenario:
1) Wolves land a top 3 pick in this year's draft
2) Wolves make something similar to the following trade:
1) Wolves draft Jalen Suggs
2) Rubio, Naz, Bolmaro, Future FRP for Myles Turner
Wolves rotation:
Suggs
Edwards
McDaniels
KAT
Turner
Bench rotation:
D Lo (he's a quasi-starter, similar to his bench/closing role that's been successful)
Beasley
Nowell
Okogie
Vanderbilt
Backup C acquisition
I envision KAT playing the C minutes when Turner isn't on the court for the most part. McDaniels also playing some PF still.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
I’m just going to assume we’re not getting our pick since it’s the most likely result. I think we need a big to pair with KAT to take a big step next year. I like the Turner idea. What other bigs could be available?
I think Theis would be a nice pickup but don’t think he’s a game changer. Can’t really think of another big that really could add to the core that might move this offseason. I’m sure I’m forgetting about some guys though.

Richaun Holmes is an unrestricted free agent this off-season I believe. He might be out of our price range, but perhaps could be had for the full MLE? That would be a bit of a dream scenario if you ask me.
Another one to keep an eye on is Bobby Portis. He’s had an underwhelming season in MIL so far I’d say, so it’s tough to say what his value will be this off-season. But he would be a big with some toughness that could come off the bench for us and still stretch things out to the three point line.

Nah. No to Turner deal.

Well, that’s not very smart.

Minnesota trades: Beasley, 2022 2nd
LAL trades: Kuzma, 2021 1st
Why for LAL: get a cost controlled sharpshooter to complement lebron/AD
Why for Minny: free up SG jam
This one has some popularity on the Trade Board from general fans. Your thoughts?

Why exactly? Kuzma sucks, that pick is in the late teens in a draft that is weak in that spot and only good at the very top.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
If Minnesota keeps the pick, I would heavily consider offering the following to the Orlando Magic, if they want to fully revamp their roster....
MIN: Jonathan Isaac and #7-8
OUT: Juancho Hernangómez, Jarrett Culver, Jake Layman, and #1
Up to Rosas, maybe select Alperen Şengün, if he doesn't rise to the top five in the Draft.
Ricky Rubio / D'Angelo Russell / Jordan McLaughlin (FA)
Malik Beasley / Leandro Bolmaro / Jaylen Nowell
Anthony Edwards / Josh Okogie
Jonathan Isaac / Jaden McDaniels / Jarred Vanderbilt (RFA)
Karl-Anthony Towns / Naz Reid / Alperen Şengün
That team is beautifully balanced, there are a myriad of line-ups Minnesota could run (sub Towns with Reid whenever).
Ricky Rubio / Malik Beasley / Anthony Edwards / Jonathan Isaac / Karl-Anthony Towns
D'Angelo Russell / Anthony Edwards / Jaden McDaniels / Jonathan Isaac / Karl-Anthony Towns
Ricky Rubio / D'Angelo Russell / Anthony Edwards / Jonathan Isaac / Karl-Anthony Towns
D'Angelo Russell / Malik Beasley / Anthony Edwards / Jaden McDaniels / Jonathan Isaac
There are a million different line-ups that team could run, definitely Playoff caliber.

Those rotations are tempting, and I like how the deal clears out a lot of our salary glut to allow us to take on another big money player. However, I think the top three picks all have a chance to be All NBA caliber players, so I would be reluctant to do this trade. I think we’d win more games now, but the injury risk to Isaac and the lower upside would make me flinch.
Fun trade!

I really like the originality of the offer but when you factor in the significant injury history of Isaac, I just can’t see the justification for trading the likes of Suggs, Cunningham or Mobley for him even with the pick coming back. The drop off after pick #5 in this draft appears to be enormous right now.

I’d been turning around different versions of this trade in my head for a week or two. I think what it comes down to for me is I wouldn’t be comfortable unless I was getting #4 or #5 back. But overall I do still like this sort of deal. I’m a fan of Isaac, just worried about the injuries.

I'd be up for this if we get #2 or #3 and Suggs is already off the board

If the Wolves got the #1 pick, what are the chances Orlando would trade us Isaac straight up?

Straight up for what though? Who in their right mind would trade the number one pick straight up for an injury riddled player like Isaac?
McDaniels is having a similar rookie year to Isaac’s rookie season anyway.

I'm imaging a lineup of Russell/Edwards/McDaniels/Isaac/Towns and am having a tough time imaging a better lineup for KAT and Russell -- our max players.. Plus, Isaac is on a great contract for his production when healthy.. Obviously this trade wouldn't happen unless we were sending Rubio and hopefully Culver elsewhere to make room for Isaac's salary.
By the time Isaac's contract is up, McDaniels will be ready for his 2nd contract, and we will have the space to pay McDaniels.

To risky and I think the top end talent is pretty darn good this year. I don't want to pay a walking injury.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
Sounds pretty crazy to me to trade a top 5 pick for a guy like Isaac. I don’t see the players available I would trade the pick for.
To me the key to the off-season should be to consolidate our non performing contracts in sign and trades for free agents on their way out of their current teams. Someone like Otto Porter Jr for example.
Then maybe look for a Beasley trade if they think he wouldn’t be okay with a microwave floor spacer off the bench.
