What you prefer and what will happen are two different conversations.

Through their first two seasons Edwards is averaging 2.7 made threes a game and Curry averaged about 2.1.

Curry topped out at 5.3.

Will be interesting to see where Ant tops out.

I thought it was odd that you made the comment about preferring and happening being different conversations. I fully understood my preference had nothing to do with what will actually happen. Did you think I thought my preference would influence what actually happens?

For the way Edwards gets his shots—mostly off dribble/self-created, the minor hitch is not a significant issue.

However, the best three point shooter in the league, Curry, who Edwards has an outside chance of catching when it comes to career three point shooting stats (mostly due to the change of the game and Edwards’ young age)... Curry, and others, don’t have that hitch.

Just pointing that out.

Of course it’s unlikely. But let’s no forget that shot 2.8% better YOY, and his rate improved as the season went on.

I’m not putting anything past this guy.

EDIT: Because of Curry’s ankle injuries, Edwards will have a big head start on Curry going into season 4.

Strangely, one thing I'm really excited about, is that Ant's development should make him a near lock to be in strong consideration for Team USA at both the World Cup in 2023 and the Olympics in 2024. I only vaguely remember Garnett on the 2000 team.

It is very possible. I think the status of his knee might play a big role in that. Fully healthy he might drive more, but to maintain his health he might jump shoot more. Gonna be very interesting to see how he looks from a health perspective in the preseason.

In Regular season, I wouldn't mind Ant taking more 3's than drives...in playoffs though, I expect him to drive more. Also Ant developing midrange game to atleast league average will make him even more potent. That's one weakness in his scoring arsenal right now and something he needs to improve upon.
