I think right now Chicago and G.State are the favorites to get Kevin Love.

Why?
Boston's offer (if it exists) doesn't change much. The guys we'd be interested at 5 will still likely be there at 6.

Change because they dont get a top-3 pick IMO.
I prefer a possible Chicago deal. Or G.State if they give away K.Thompson.

You really want to pay 12 per to Klay? I hate that GSW deal.

My favorite is the Chicago deal. With J.Butler.

Yea, with the #1 pick, you could definitely say the Cavs are out of the formal running for Kevin Love. No way Cavs should trade that. I would much rather have Parker, Wiggins, or Embiid over Love.

Good luck taking No1 once again and once again not making it to playoffs.

Did you say the same thing last year when your team drafted Bennett?

then Martin + Bazz + Shved + Pick + cash = expiring contract of Millsap? Are you kidding?
What do you think is fair then?
My impression was that the other guy thinks KMart, Love and Shved for Millsap and Harden is too good to be realistic for you guys.
If that's the case, let's take out the cash and Hummel.
Martin + Shved + Bazz OK?
Any kinda pick you could throw in?[/quote]
Going through this, just wanted to say your values aren't that far off. I think Love > Martin by a good amount but we are in a worse position. And I think Milsap has a lot of value, so Martin/Shabazz/Shved/not our pick is worth him. I might suggest Houston's pick going over instead of ours.
Another thought is to trade out Shabazz and put in Budinger and the #13. I think you might be undervaluing Shabazz a bit.

Re: Kevin Love Free Agency/Trade Thread
That 6th overall pick was a weak pick when it was the 5th one but now it guarantees no Wiggins, Embiid, Parker, and Julius Randle.
GSW deal has been and always will be the best deal. Who the hell said we have to pay 12 million a year to Klay Thompson anyways, throwing around random numbers to try and prove a personal point. Best player by far that the Wolves can acquire
That bulls trade is a bad one, Wolves immediately become the worst offensive team in the league with Rubio/Butler/Brewer/Gibson/Dieng starting lineup.

Maybe he takes 4/40 to extend early and guarantee it?
I think he's probably worth that. You expect him to improve, and he's a perfect fit with Rubio and Pek.

DX currently has Randle going 6th. I'd rather have Gordon or Vonleh anyway.

What makes the GS deal so good in your mind? Thompson (a guy that GS says they wouldn't include)? Eating Lee's salary? Barnes?

Re: Kevin Love Free Agency/Trade Thread
As evidence of the lottery, it would be best to just let Love leave in free agency(example: Lebron James). I'll take at least 3 guaranteed #1 picks in 4 years, over any of these packages.

+ 16TH AND 19TH PICKS.
Start Lineup could be.
Rubio/Martin/ Butler/Gibson/Pekovic
The bench will be one of the best on the league.
And you can try go after A.Affalo with one of thoses picks.
D.Lee doesn´t have 1/4 of value of Kevin Love. And is contract is awful. H.Barnes is a bust.

What makes it so good? Klay Thompson is the best player wolves can possibly acquire.
GSW said they don't want to include Thompson. They didn't say they won't do it. There's no way they can acquire Love without Thompson yet they claim they don't want to give him away. Now there is tension, and contrary to the way you are painting it, there is a definite possibility for a trade here with Thompson.
And Lee's contract isn't a good one but he makes this team better. Rubio/Thompson/Brewer/Lee/Dieng
I would argue is a step up from Rubio/Martin/Brewer/Love/Pek. Lee can't shoot threes but he does everything else that Love does, doesn't whine, and gives his all on the court. Wouldn't expect Barnes in this trade, that is too much value going to Minny.
I just don't want the wolves to suck again so nobody will want to play here and Rubio is going to leave.
With Bulls trade, wolves become the worst offensive team in the league Rubio/Butler/Brewer/Gibson/Dieng. I'm not banking on random 16th and 19th picks to do anything when the wolves clearly have shown an inability to draft good players.
Boston's 6th pick is weak, and I would take Klay Thompson all day over Vonleh or Adams. All day. David Lee is a bonus and moving Love's contract allows the wolves to absorb Lee's for a few years.
You guys realize you are going to have to watch this team next year too right? I'm not banking on wolves hitting on mid round picks or a guy like Vonleh or Adams do enough to make this team better than last years. And I definitely don't want Kevin Martin starting again, what a horrifying thought.

Re: Kevin Love Free Agency/Trade Thread
Rubio/Klay/Brewer/Lee/Dieng doesn't come close to the playoffs on the West. 10th seed for life! I'd prefer bottoming out than be 5 more years winning 36 games. Give me that Celtics pick +2 more 1st rounders and getting a high lottery pick with our pick next year.

I disagree. Thompson is super overrated. Stauskas can, and probably will, be a similar player.

Okay. I guess you want to bottom out, I wish to see the team improve. I believe Wolves have a lot of good pieces already and absolutely cannot bottom out because it is going to take too long for Rubio to stick around. You think bottoming out as one of the worst teams this year is going to take this team to the playoffs in the west?

Stauskas lacks lateral movement. Stauskas is Kevin Martin on defense. Thompson is super underrated by this board. He is not a similar player in talent, he is a similar player in their style of play. Just because you shoot 3s and you are a SG/SF doesn't mean you are the same player like a lot of people have hinted at the last few days.
