Why?

Because Denver laughs you off the phone.

Darko millicic + Derrick Williams for Gallinari or Wilson Chandler they would probably do though. BOth players play the same position and between them cost 20 million dollars. One of them is gone next season. So an expiring contract + derrick williams could get either or. I think ridnour + millicic + utah jazz 1st round pick could get one of them.

No way I'd give up Derrick for Wilson Chandler. Gallinari, probably.

Iggy is an Allstar, incredible defender, improving shooter. Only thing he's is not is a number 1 star and clutch player, but therefore I think he could be a very nice combo with K-Love.

I just don't see Philly giving him away for Derrick Williams and some scrubs, because Williams hasn't shown anything this season.

I'd be shocked if Philly got anything more than expiring contracts and maybe a mid-first round (or equivalent young player). There's absolutely no way that Iggy could get you Derrick Williams.

Iggy has one year on a bad contract (probably two) and might likely leave. Why would anyone want to rent iggy is beyond me. The wolves need to lock up a strong young players. Derrick Williams plays the same position as your best player. He should be dumped. A small forward at age 24 shouldn't be hard to find. If you want veteran players it would be easy to add in someone like grant hill. There are tons fo players who are cheaper and younger that could put up similar stats to iguodala for a lot less.

he's paid a lot but i wouldn't call it a bad contract...he's paid in the same ball park as other top/upper echelon small forwards like deng, pierce, granger & gay. he's a terrific defender & ball handler who sports a really good assist to turnover ratio. he has improved a lot as an outside shooter and imo putting him on a team with a higher pace of play, that likes to get out and run and cranking up his usage a bit would bring out the best in iggy.

there really aren't a lot of good, young, cheap options out there that are available. a couple of dream guys like paul geroge and gallo would simply not be available imo and batum is probably about to join that previously mentioned groups pay grade. he's definitely the kind of guy that describes adelman's perfect or ideal wing - can handle the ball and play as a point forward, is versatile in that he can play the 2/3 and is a terrific defender who you know is going play his ass off each time out. he'd be a terrific get for us regardless of the price tag imo.

inconsistent scorer, but Iguodalas defense would be huge for us

Not to mention, his ability to make others around him better. That's definitely an underrated trait. Guy knows where to distribute the basketball and is a pretty smart player.

I'm changing my mind on OJ Mayo. If you think about it, he has a lot of similar traits as James Harden.

He comes off the bench and has a nice beard??

I don't see the similarities other than they can both shoot 3s.

Harden is a better ball handler, decision maker, creator off the dribble, defender, penetrator.

OJ is a poor man's Jason Terry if anything IMO.

Oh yeah, What do you think of us going after Beaubois in the off-season, Klomp?

He got a DNP last game against the Thunder and he is a good player, but I think he is in a wrong situation and can be had for the right pieces for the Mavs. If they want to sign D-Will in the off-season, maybe we can give them the Jazz pick + the rights to one of our Euro picks???

Now that I think about it, it would be damn hard to get Beaubois with Terry, Marion and Vince expiring.

Plus, the Mavericks pick #17, they wouldn't trade a quality player on a cheap contract for the #18 pick + a Euro who isn't guaranteed to come over.

Anyone want Roddy B?

He's James Harden without the efficiency.

What kinda contract do you think OJ Mayo will get? OJ Mayo and Gerald Wallace in the offseason would be solid. We would finally have a starting five with five starters.

I can't imagine Mayo getting more than $7-8 million, maybe less. I don't think Memphis will go overboard to match.

4 yrs 30 mil or so. Or at least thats what I think is a semi-reasonable offer, I guess anything is possible with desperate front offices

I agree. If Philly does unload iggy it will be for something similar to the al jefferson trade.

Draft rights to Andre Drummond(or anyone else in the draft not named Davis/Beal/MKG/Robinson) from the Cavs for Derrick Williams? I just wonder what the Minnesota perspective is on this. I strongly doubt Williams will ever shoot this poorly again.

Not trying to troll, I'm just curious what the Wolves fans would think.

Drummond looks like a bust waiting to happen. It would have to be Beal/MKG for me.
