Brian Windhorst still saying Teague is our first option, and Lowry is option B. Does this make sense to anyone?

So I'm assuming you guys are going to get a starting PG in free agency. I don't think you would start Tyus Jones or Jimmy Butler as PG. Shouldn't be hard to get your starting PG in free agency, when you just traded for Jimmy Butler and now you got Butler to go with WIggins and Towns.

Well smoke has been billowing about Thibs looking to trade Ricky for a while, so can't say I'm surprised. I am a bit surprised though with people here acting like Jeff Teague is chopped liver, when in fact he is a solid PG who's game happens to fit better with what Thibs wants to do- especially now with Butler on board, who is a good playmaker himself. Teague also has tons of playoff experience, which is nice.

If it's Rose on the other hand, that's a completely different story.

Only way for that is if Thibs likes his age and is way cheaper than lowry..but I bet Pelicans will overpay.

Could we be in on Millsap? Cant afford both he and Lowry? I dont know.

Windhorst isnt a guy I go to for info though to be fair.

Maybe they are trying to get Lowry to come down $ a lil?

Agree on Teague. Not sure what is with the hate. As far as how they match up as a total player they are close, but Teague imo is a much better fit as far as shooting and being able to play off the ball. As Doogie said, he fits in much better with what Thibs wants from PG than Rubio. Butler is going to handle the ball a lot...wouldnt have been ideal fit with Rubio.

Tibbs has the Brinks truck sitting in Lowry's driveway right now. They will likely offer him the max and fill out the rest of the bench with cheaper role vets. Remember Tibbs don't like to use his bench much

My only hope is the Butler trade came out of no where and the Thibs / Layden regime has been amazingly good at keeping what they are actually going after very quiet until the last minute. This makes me think the Teague rumors aren't all they are cracked up to be. Butler is working the hard sell on Lowry right now, I guarantee that.

A teague/Butler pairing would actually be really good. Pelicans didn't have anyone in the wings to compliment Teague at all.
But Lowry is our guy hopefully.

Yeah but you still think that Teague plays for NOLA. Teague plays for the Pacers....not the Pelicans.

We were thinking the same thing....he kept on confusing Teague with Holiday.
