Sign Miles with cap space and the next best wing shooter you can for the Room Exception.

Why would we dump Bjelica? And only Towns, Dieng and Gibson are better than Bjelly currently.

Well I'm not counting Patton as better (poor word choice) but with a cheap rookie deal he's likely in the longer term plans as the 4th big. Wolves can't afford to re-sign Bjelica next summer if he continues to improve, so why not dump a guy at a redundant position to sign a better player at a position of desperate need? Towns, Dieng and Taj are going to get the vast majority of the PF/C minutes.

Because he could help us win next season.

Bjelica isn't redundant. He's currently a pretty important rotation piece due to his ability to stay on the court as a 4 in small ball lineups.

Miles is a nice player, but he's not worth cutting into our already thin depth for.

finally we have some relief for Wiggs and Buckets. Tibbs is a great negotiator willing to wait on the Buckets deal last year and waiting on filling out the bench. This gonna be a fun year

Crawford has slowed down the last couple of years but can still shoot and will be good for the locker room. Excellent add at the Room exception if it happens and we would still have Aldrich to dangle for more cap space for a guy like Miles.

I like Jamal, brings vet presence & can create his own shot.

He can run backup PG as well.

Think we still need a CJ Miles or another shooter and we're done for the most part.

Jamal Crawford has been instant offense throughout his career, but has declined from 18 points a game three years ago to 12 points a game last year. If decline continues we might regret getting him if we do. However, for now I will say pretty good signing if he doesn't cost us the Room exception.

How do we afford him if not the Room exception?

It's probably the players themselves agreeing to come here if we include a PO

Yeah, it just makes the contract look better to the player. If we do well next year, Jamal will accept the second year.

As expected the Room Exception. Looks like minimum contracts from here on out. We need a full sized SF to back up Butler now and we have a nice 9 player rotation including Tyus, Butler, Crawford and whoever it is we get now off the bench.

I get that the player likes the option, however to me it is weak negotiating that we seen to give that to the player most of the time or just drastically overpay like for Gibson.
