Sure. He is a son of...type of hire. But it's not like his father was a Houston coach. His father was a coach for many teams. Not sure there were loads of great outcomes on those teams. I don't really fault the kids of Coaches getting into the same career and working their way up, especially if they did so from teams removed from their relations and don't get hired by their fathers or to follow their father up at the same team. I believe the last two are the center of KGd's angst and the definition of the nepotism. Having already had Adelman hire his own son, and seeing Zimmer do the same in football. I kind of take issue with it myself. Here's a question. Didin't Flip get a piece of the team when he came back? At his passing did that get passed back to Taylor or to Ryan? Never heard.

Don't know anything about young Silas aside from a claim of creating the "historically good" Mavericks offense recently. Which was basically, at least by the last Mavs series in the playoffs, came down to an iso game of Doncic. I didn't get to watch enough games when their other players like KP and other point guards were healthy.

The leaguewide interest level in Aaron Gordon is murkier. Brooklyn discussed chasing him in prior years, but that is probably moot now. He makes sense in Portland, though NBA Twitter's beloved Gordon-for-CJ McCollum swap has never been discussed in any serious way, sources say. Could Portland pry Gordon away without surrendering McCollum? Does Zach Collins appeal to a team with Nikola Vucevic, Mo Bamba, and Jonathan Isaac? What about Anfernee Simons?

Isaac could miss the season because of a knee injury; does that make Orlando less likely to move Gordon or Vucevic? Does the franchise have the stomach to take a step back?

Well, well, well.

#1, JJ and fillers for Jrue Holiday with a commitment to op into his PO. #17 and Culver for Aaron Gordon. Joe Harris for MLE. Add some good veteran 2 way players and we're good.

90% we make the playoffs
