It's more what we'd be willing to give up. Or some of us, anyway. There's a fair few that aren't interested at all.
And honestly, after perusing the thread over on the 76ers board, I don't think anyone is being particularly realistic. Lillard and Edwards seem to be targets for you guys, for example, and at this point Simmons doesn't have the value to get either.
In all likelihood the Sixers keep Ben and try to run it back with minor tweaks. But it's the offseason so we're all bored without speculation.
Anything is possible, but I’m not sure running it back is realistic either. When Simmons has failed in past playoffs, I feel like everyone kinda had his back. This year, you have Embiid and Doc both taking at least subtle shots at home immediately following game six. Does Embiid sign an extension if Simmons, who doesn’t work well with Embiid, comes back?
I think a trade is made but it’ll be interesting to see what they get. You’d have to think a perimeter player that can create is a must return. I don’t think Lillard or Beal will hit the market, so do they accept a Sexton or McCollum (both bad fits with Maxey)? Do they take something like our deal where they get Beasley and then a PG from elsewhere swapped for our picks (Lowery, Ball, FVF, Brogdon)?
Morey’s as good GM. He isn’t going to panic.
