This isn't a branding overhaul. This would be this season's City Edition uniform, meaning only one color.

Re: Training Camp thread
The KAT weight loss worries me a bit. I do think it will be good for him long term probably but man, the big bigs are going to smash us. MAybe this paves the way for KAT to play more 4 and we can bring in a bigger anchor at the 5 at some point.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

We get owned every single year with this.. it always ends up with KAT getting into foul trouble..

Re: Training Camp thread
Average weight of an NBA center is 248. The league has gotten smaller - height and weight - over the last 10 years. Much ado about nothing. The days of Charles Oakley are loooooooooong gone. But don’t let the data kill a good narrative.
“ Key findings:
The average NBA player is 6'6.3'' tall and has never been shorter over the past 39 seasons.
Point guards are the tallest they’ve ever been in league history. All other positions are the shortest since the 80s.
72% of the league is under 6’9’’ tall (most over the past 40 seasons)
40% of the power forwards’ FG attempts are 3-pointers (first time in NBA history). Centers are getting close to 20% (19.5).
While declining in number, NBA’s big-men are dominating in shooting efficiency and PER, breaking all-time NBA records.”

Re: Training Camp thread
I'm not worried with the weight loss. Look at the Jazz and we owned their asses last year

Exactly. If teams do have a bigger center, they probably only have one.
We might be a little undersized at PF and C, but most of the matchups it's not going to be a major deal. If we're worrying about being undersized against Jahlil Okafor or Boban Marjanovic, we're going to have far bigger problems than just being undersized.

So you'd rather have him fat and weak than cut and strong?

KAT says the weight loss is easier on his knees. If the new playing weight keeps KAT on the floor for 75+ games, I'm in. Keep the big man healthy.

Exactly. While I know there were other factors at play too, the facts are that the last two seasons he's never been heavier (reportedly 268 and 275) and the last two seasons he's played only 62.5% of games (played 98.5% of games in first four seasons).
I like him taking the Tim Duncan approach.
