DDV’s catch and shoot 3 vs pull up 3 percentage is the thing to watch this year.

Over his last 8 games, DiVincenzo is 27-57 (.474) on 3-pointers

What you’re saying is Donte ThreeVincenzo has arrived. Or I as I like to call him D3V.

Would y’all trade Julius and Donte for Jimmy? Just curious

Would the Wolves fans embrace the general? If Jimmy Butler were in a house fire and the firefighters were Timberwolves fans, I doubt they pull him out. Does that answer your question?

The Heat doesn't want Randy but they do want the Big Ragu. And I doubt Buckets wants to play for any former teams like Minny and Philly cause he hold grudges which includes Miami now.

Send Jimmy home for Dillon, FVV plus a pick for salary matching. Rox will win the ship as his Joy!

It's a win win with Reed Sheppard at the point instead of rotting on the bench.

Sure let’s pretend that is what I said. In all seriousness the fanbase would boycott every game and the ownership would be forced to clean house and sell the team. If you want to dump the General in a sh** show like Washington or Portland I would be thrilled. In reality he is probably going to a team doing well, we would send out Randle but probably not DDV as part of a 3 team deal. If we did both then it essentially becomes the new talent plus the Detroit pick and whatever picks come our way in the new trade for KAT. That is the kind of risky business move that destroys the reputation of GMs.

Yea I agree, plus Randle has the opt out this offseason, so holding on to his contract is a big chip to shed salary at the end of the season

So Finch inserted DiVincenzo into the starting line up three games ago, and we’ve won all three.

I don’t want to fall into the trap that “correlation equals causation,” but Ben Beecken mentioned on his podcast that DDV’s willingness to shoot off the dribble probably helps Randle and Ant a bit, especially without floor spacers like Gobert and McDaniels. I was concerned that less minutes with Mike would hurt Gobert, but he’s shot 11-for-20 over that span, and pulled down close to 15 rebounds a game. I also like the idea of maintaining chemistry between DDV and Randle, and Naz and NAW together off the bench.

Conley seems to be playing better, but he’s not at last year’s levels yet. If he was to fully recover his game, would that mean we move DDV back to the bench?

I think this might be the lineup the rest of the way

I actually wonder if this is the wrong adjustment. We barely beat the Pels who are a bottom team, and as we talked about struggled to advance the ball beyond half court under pressure. We saw multiple power outages in that Pels game as well. Playing the magic with 4 or 5 of the their top 5 guys out is also not a great test. The Clippers was more impressive, but how much of that was DDV being a starter and how much was guys just playing well. DDV is not a PG, he cannot really be both DDV and a creator. Once you accept that fact, the question is whether having Mike playing against second unit guys is enough of a trade off, I am not sure it is.

Last 12 games

28mpg
13.7ppg (48% on 2s on 2.9 attempts - 43.7% on 3's on 7.1 attempts)
3.5 asts
4.3 rbds
2 TOs - 1 steal

This is

17.8 points, 4.5 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per 36

He's also averaging

15 points - 4.5 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per 36 on 39.1% 3 point shooting over the last 24 games.

We need to get him into the 30-35mpg game range.

Over the last half of the season for the Knicks last year Dante averaged 20.2 points on 38.8% 3 point shooting (11 attempts per game) and averaged 36.6 mpg. So he's not far off from what he was producing for the Knicks... he was just shooting even more.

I think my ideal starting lineup next season is NAW - Dante - Ant - Naz - Jaden

sucks to hear, especially since Donte's been heating up before the injury.

I know Desmond Bane had a Grade 2 Toe Sprain in 2022-23 and that kept him out initially for about 6 weeks. He played with the fracture though and eventually got surgery after the season.

I think Donte may be out longer than the 6 weeks though. Hopefully he returns before the season ends.

At least 6 weeks out for DDV . Maybe all season if he need surgery. Will see more Rob which will help him to learn faster. We seriously need a trade !

That sucks, just when he start to find his footing as a starter. I don't know if there is a good trade available. Maybe Monte Morris or Tyrus wants to come back? If we get DDV's full salary, we could trade for Tre Jones. TC may just re-sign Dozier :D

My guess is the 2nd opinion is because the first said get surgery. If true this is a massive setback. The two questions are 1, can he be back for the playoffs if Surgery is needed? 2, can we win 22 or 23 games without him?
