Lopez got out-hustled by Love, man he looks like a really good player. Much bigger than I thought.

Love is really good but a frontcourt of him and Jefferson won't work. You can't be both undersized and slow in the front court. I'd still draft him if he was BPA but eventually we'd have to trade somebody.

Love's measurements matter more than any other player. Some think he could come out as 6'10. If that is the case then he should be considered a top-10 prospect. He has arguably the highest BBIQ in the draft, is a young big who could grow more. Has great hands and passing ability. He also hustles and does what it takes to win.

That being said, I think he would be a great fit with Philly next to Dally and Iggy. His fit with Al would be tough to swallow.

Did you guys see how badly Stanford got hosed? Probably the worst foul call I've ever seen that decided a game.

Anybody know anything about Javake McGee as a center prospect? He's risen to #12 on NBAdraft.net

He got tagged with the dreaded Bynum/O'bryant comaprison.

Reading the DX profile he is a development guy. They have him at 22 in their '09 mock comparing him to a cross between POB and Brandon Wright basically they think he is a few years from contributing in the league at best.

Perhaps they have not seen him lately. Jordan is a 2-3 year project at best.

Me too. I think people are buying into some kind of hype and are hoping for a Bynum situation. All I see is big bust potential.

There are 3 guys in this draft that "strike fear" what I mean by that is this.

--Last years draft when we heard Portland and Seattle got the first 2 picks we thought "oh crap" because of Oden and Durant. Personally, I did not think "oh crap" with Jeff Green. In this years draft there are only 3 guys (Beasley/Rose/Mayo) that have the "oh crap" effect.

btw, people are sleeping on Mayo.

Dont get me wrong, I like Lopez and Hibbert (as we all know) but those guys are not stars, they are good fits.

I guess my reasoning for wanting us to pick Jordan is that I hope he and Jefferson can become a dynamic force up front. Also I really like Foye, McCants, and Brewer and don't want to see any of them go. Drafting a center (that we need) would give those three guys a better chance of having huge roles on the team. I thought Mayo had attitude problems? Wasn't that the big concern with him? Would his ego clash with McCants'?
Maybe I have become too attached to some of our players and just want to take a guy that fills a need and will not disrupt our current core.
Reading what I just wrote makes me think that I want the Wolves to pick Jordan for the wrong reasons..
Sorry for spelling errors, I am focused more on getting pie for the game tonight than typing this.

*My top five is: Beasley/Rose/Jordan/Mayo/Lopez so I wouldn't say I am sleeping on Mayo..
I know I will change my mind after March just as most will so this top five is in no way set in stone.

If wolves land the top pick, would you trade him for aldridge or horford to complement Big Al? or you would rather take beasley?

Aldridge no way, Horford is an interesting proposition.

Replace Bayless with Mayo and i agree...i think Bayless lack of hype has hurt him but hes been an amazing shooter... and unlike Mayo, he can get to the FT line when hes struggling shooting. Mayos vision is more gifted, but Bayless quickness creates open shots for others also..hes less turnover prone too.
