I actually love the deal for the Celtics. Either they get the Lakers pick, or the Kings pick just for moving back a couple spots. If the Boston gets the Lakers pick next draft, then wow Ainge is even more amazing then before. Likely turned KG and Pierce into Jaylen Brown, Josh Jackson/Lonzo Ball, and potentially Porter/Ayton/Doncic/Bamba?

Yeah, and while Fultz is considered by some a consensus pick, he's not really in the realm of franchise changers.

I don't see how 57% FT shooter wing can be a successful star in modern NBA. A role player yes, a star no.

Great trade by Ainge. I think Fultz is a great addition to Philly, but Ainge just got another great asset to play with. He can keep acquiring assets until he sees the window to get past Warriors and Cleveland open or still have a young core and two top 10 picks in 2018 to offer in trade for Butler and George. Not out of the question he could add Haywood and George/Butler and still have a lot of young depth.

Well...we havent proved jack ish either besides 2 ROY's and a 31 win season when most of us expected contention for the 8th seed

Well, we were much better than they were tho. We were 18th in the league in SRS at -0.64. Philly was 27th at -5.83

We were pretty much a borderline playoff team even with the tank down the stretch. We'll get better at winning close games and holding leads with experience.

Hope so. It would've been such a different season had we not blown so many third qtr double digit leads. They better not try that again next year

Markelle Fultz
Lonzo Ball
Jayson Tatum
Josh Jackson
DeAaron Fox
Jonathan Isaac
Dennis Smith, Jr.

Is there anyone on this list that you WOULD NOT draft if he were the odd man out of the Top 6?

If so, I think trading No. 7 should be seriously considered. If not, go ahead and wait for whoever falls.

I'll take any of them on this team.

Interesting protection on the LAL pick. BOS gets it if it's between 2-5 next year, otherwise they get it in 2019. I guess with those protections, this could be a huge win for the Celtics. Imagine if they get 1 and 2 next year to pile on to what they have.

I still totally see why Philly did this deal though. Fultz is a perfect fit for them and the best player in the draft. Still crazy to see the #1 pick traded before the draft. That never happens. I hope this is just the beginning of an exciting draft.

Not worried about the Sixers at all even if they get Fultz. They play in the East and two of their top 3 are already injury prone. Dont think that team will ever put it together.

I think Ainge is simply building for the post-GSW super team era in 4-5 years and continuing to stockpile assets. Adding Butler to Horford and Thomas doesn't get them past CLE or GSW and I think Ainge knows that.

Would be crazy if Boston was able to flip Fultz into Porter next year with Brooklyns 18, and then Bagley or Williamson in 19 with Sacramentos...

Its a patience game. Im not sold on Fultz being a transcending player. I mean he led his college team to 9 freaking wins last year.

Agreed. I wouldn't be trading any of these picks for win now players. If I were the Celtics I would bet on my cap space to add a player like Hayward. Keep all those picks and outbid everyone with multiple picks when or if Anthony Davis wants out of New Orleans. Unless they believe they can actually compete they shouldn't trade any of those high end picks.
