Dangit, just when I had talked myself into waiting a while to upgrade....

LOL yea its pretty good. I do still think there will be great deals around Black Friday though (Day after Thanksgiving) so I think you can still wait. I would def plan on pouncing around then though as deals often seem to dry up after that time period and stay that way for the early part of the year.

So if you think you want one I just recommend making sure you have about $300 saved up with intention to spend in late November and then go after the deal that appeals to you the most.

I tried Playstation VR for the first time this weekend. Had low expectations and no intention to buy it before I tried it, but now i'm much more interested. I would still like to see the reviews and some more games before I buy, but I really enjoyed what I experienced.

That is damn cheap.

I tried VR for PC, the Vive about 4 months ago and it was pretty fun. I don't see any serious AAA gams being on VR soon but for fun, 15-45 minute sessions or experiences I think its pretty cool. That stuff is way to pricey for me though.

I think I really screwed up My Player this year. The damn caps can really limit you. I chose athletic big because typically I want to be a fast big man and speed is hard as hell to level up. Unfortunately they limit you so much in that category with post move and jump shooting. I am struggling big time to score as when you are defended your chances go way down and with though I am athletic I am still pretty damn slow.

I love Justice Young though, that guy is a killer. Just had a horrible game against the Thunder minus Westbrook. The Thunders big men were ridiculously good. Kanter was a damn God hitting everything and grabbing all the boards. It was so frustrating as Kanter was just destroying me over and over and every time I tried to score on him he locked me down.

Young was struggling too but he still hit big buckets. We were down by 6 with less than a minute to go and Young hit a BIG time contest 3. Then he stole the ball from Payne after the inbound, took a long two, missed and out battled two of their supernatural bigs for the offensive board and got the layup. Unfortunately God Kanter got an and 1 after that and sealed the game.

I;m debating starting all over again but I have already sunk so much VC and time into my character I don't want to go through that again. Ugh... 2K really needs to let us redistribute points around and respec.

I've found that athletic is always the way to go.

Same but I think it was a mistake this time. The way they limit you in other areas... plust I think my max speed will only wind up being like 65 which is still slow. I was thinking I could hit maybe 80 or so, keep out pace all other bigs and get easy transition points. Its not looking like that will be the case. Its also harder to shoot under the basket now cause you have to time it like a jump shot. Before if you weren't guarded very well and under the basket it was pretty much guaranteed 2 points. I'm going to try to adapt but its pretty frustrating right now, would have been a lot easier if I could have good post moves.

I went with a stretch big, but even the starting ratings for shooting are terrible so I'm clunking open shots left and right.

The good thing I guess is that rebounding and defending as a big guy are as much down to you as they are the ratings, so I'm still managing to rack up some blocks and boards, but my FG% is like 25% after my first 5 games

So they added some underrated aspects to franchise mode. Pretty nice touches that no one has really gotten into.

You can add up to six expansion teams now. You can create your own from scractch with a great creation suite includning improting logos. Whats really cool if they have 6-8 pre made fake teams associated with cities and they are recognized by the commentators and everything. Its really cool. Kansas City Knights might be my favorite. Baltimore Barons are also pretty awesome. It really feels like these are legit teams.

In GM mode, at the start of every seasons the NBA board has several proposals you can vote on. Some pretty crazy changes in my fsit season as we could vote on allowing a new expansion team, changing the age of players who can declare for the draft, changing how the lottery works, extending the shot clock to 45 seconds.

I think I am really going to dive into franchise this season.

This is my first NBA 2k since 2k11, and I got to tell ya, it is completely different game, 6 years is a long time. If I didn't know, I would say its completely different developer.
I suffered through learning curve and getting better at the game... on offense. I find defense completely impossible. To move player with that stick thing is so hard, to say that these players feel like they are on ice is an understatement. So yeah, I am making defensive collapses all the time. But its not just me, I find your teammate AI to be bad, worse than 2k11 in fact. They refuse to switch and leave snipers wide open all the time. And I know its not just me, because I find other players who can't defend me at all too. Maybe I need to use zone all the time or something, because man, that defense.

Why does Thibs have C ratings in 2K17? You would think his defense at least would be high.

Just had an awesome game ender. Inbounded it to Justice Young and he nailed the shot, the Jazz teammates went crazy and he just fell to his knees, it was pretty epic cause the last 5 minutes were tense.

I look at the social media news after and see that we traded Rudy Gobert away to the Lakers for Louis Williams. WTF!? :banghead:

What a horrible deal. Also they made the Lakers really good in My Career for some damn reason. We always struggle against them and Russell is a scoring machine. Lakers are fighting for the 8th spot. The wolves are horrible and looks like they will finish second to last in the conference. Don't know why the Lakers are so much better but they are and now they got freaking Gobert to push them into the post season.

I finally picked up the game. This is going to be one hell of a learning curve. My jumper is broke as hell, even with good shooters. And my slashing game is garbage because I don't know the dribble moves yet. All I can do is post up. Pekovic is my MVP. I'm tempted to try and move Wiggins for Okafor because I can't do anything with Wiggins.

I have really only played My career but I am hating the jumpshot mechanic right now cause it seems like you pretty much have to be perfect to hit shots. Don't know if its just me but the window seems crazy small to nail them.
