I think this is a slam dunk for Minnesota. The team preserves the salary slot, gets a low usage and steady player who has the fourth best A/TO in the NBA, gets a likely replacement for Jaylen Nowell (Nickeil Alexander-Walker is RFA), and three seconds to work with. No way to do better than that, for D'Angelo Russell.

Next time to move Naz for something and get Connely’s boy Hyland to groom as a possible replacement for Conley after next season? Nowell and a second for Hyland?

Shooting 40% on 3-pointers this year btw

Has he been battling injuries? I wonder why THT has been playing more than him.

Yep. In 51 games with the Jazz (since last season), he's shot 45.4% fg % and 37.5% from 3. He's still only 24 so maybe there's some unlocked potential. I think he's a solid defender too.

And 3 2nd round picks? I like the deal. It's better than overpaying DLo and being forced to watch his turnstile defense.

Yes it is, hope NWA is good for us, 7 million for next season might be a bargain if he turns out good for the wolves.

Not sure about the defense, but he collects rebounds, assists and steals quite well for a combo guard.

The Wolves are now $6.8M under the luxury tax so they have some trade flexibility. They have a TPE where they could take back up to $4.4M with no salary in return, or they could move Nowell+Forbes+2nds with up to $6.7M coming back.

Don't we have one too many players right now? Any ideas what we can do?

If Naz Reid is moved tomorrow. Which of these trades make the wolves a better team going forward?

Naz Reid for Bones Hyland and a second
Naz Reid/Bryn Forbes for Killian Hayes and a second
Naz Reid/Byrn Forbes for Jalen McDaniels/James Bouknight
Naz Reid for Payton Pritchard and a second
Naz Reid for Terrance Mann
