ORL just drafted a bigger Fultz at #6, so someone else gets to enjoy the Fultz “rising from the ashes” renaissance.

Slo-Mo gives ORL solid depth and versatility behind Franz & Paolo with a great vet presence. Plus, WCJ won’t slap him in huddles. Leonard Miller and Naz will deserve his minutes for MIN…that’s a great pick, imo

The knee-jerk reaction to any trade for Kyle Anderson would be a “no” from most people that follow the Wolves. SloMo had a huge impact on the team last year, and virtually every player on the team was better when he was on the floor with him. When DLo and Ant struggled figuring out how to feed Gobert, Anderson led the team in two-man ratings with him. His passing made him effective getting inside the defense and distributing. He also was pretty good defensively, and used his experience to get key steals. There is a debate right now whether he was the best free agent MIN ever signed .. that’s how important he was to the team. I think we all consider him a “more valuable to us than you”-type of player.

That said, finding minutes for Naz Reid might be an issue. Gobert, Towns and Naz could eat up the bulk of the 96 minutes we have available each game at PF and C. SloMo’s best position has always been as a playmaking PF. He’s also expiring, and financially, we are going to struggle to pay him AND a starting PG. So it would be painful to trade him, but I wouldn’t dismiss the idea outright.

I know Fultz had a bit of a resurgence last year, but his continued struggles shooting the three is a big deal for the Wolves big line up. I also would be concerned that he needs to be extended, and it would likely be for a bigger number than we could afford. I think this would be a “no” from the actual front office as well.

Fultz's $17M contract makes this unworkable. Also, I don't see Fultz as a particularly attractive option due to his lack of shooting.

I’m sure they’d like that, but both could be one year rentals, and are likely in the 26-40th most valuable PGs in the NBA.

Taurean Prince is a similarly valued player, maybe worse as a player, but cheaper and at a more valued position.

Prince and a future 2nd is realistic for Morris. Delonte West probably isn’t even worth that.

Delonte West is homeless and sending picks of his johnson to LBJ's mom so at least we would finally get some coverage from ESPN. :)

Understandable...another option that (as a Magic fan) I'm not as excited about is Cole Anthony for Slo-Mo. Cole and/or Fultz are likely out of a job with Black in town...I'd like to keep Cole, but I can see that he's probably outgrowing his 6th man role...he made tremendous advances last year in his decision-making and patience...He started a lot of games the year before, put up inefficient numbers but really wasn't ready to run an offense. Personally, I'd like to move off Fultz, who is very similar to Black. Start Cole until Black is ready or even play them alongside one another (as Cole can score from anywhere)...So, Cole would give us a little more versatility, whereas, IMO, Fultz is strictly a PG (he might be better at that than Cole today-but I'd bet on Cole long term) and Anthony can play other roles.

I'd do Anthony for Slo-Mo because I am high on Black and could live with a lesser back up than Cole (who's ready for more and might not get it in ORL) and I love Slo-Mo for a versatile, tough vet

Unless Allen is also being moved, why would CLE do that? I'm all for moving KAT in any deal that gets us Garland.

Is his D bad? Attitude? I know Mitchell makes a ton. Allen has a healthy contract. And Mobley will get a max here shortly. I wonder if this is an affect of the new CBA, only two maxes generally per team and they want that to me Mobley/Mitchell.

There was this tweet I posted yesterday. It's very possible Sam Amico is guessing...

Maybe the Cavs realized two 6'1" guards are not the answer. But yes, either a third team would have to be involved or Allen's on his way out.

Yes. And there are whispers Donovan Mitchell might try to force a trade. Maybe he said he’d stay if he Garland goes?

Sam Amico is someone who guesses on every rumour with the hope of being right. Him being quoted drives me insane, I’ve been on this case for almost a decade now.

That aside, Darius Garland is absolutely the kind of talent that would make a Towns trade worth considering. I wouldn’t expect it, though.

Connelly has been pretty consistent in the type of players he's been acquiring in that they all have size for their position and are solid or better defenders. I don't see Cole Anthony as fitting the direction the team is going. Personally, I'd much rather have Anderson than Anthony.

Suggs is the only Magic PG that is a bit interesting, and even with him I'd say interest would be lukewarm.

VanVleet is worth a two year max deal with Rockets? How does the Towns/Gobert contract look now( no smart comments please :D I get the come back)? There is a lot of inflation in NBA salary gearing up toward the new deals. So expect to see more like this in the next two years.
