Warriors Reached Out To Raptors On Trade Centered On Jordan Poole For OG Anunoby. Man, Warriors looking for Wiggins trade 2.0 but TOR GM is smarter than people previously running Wolves.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Twelve): 2023 Playoff Push Edition
KAT is doing a lot of talking and making appearances is highly visible locations. His behaviors makes me think he's on the trade block. Add in Taylor and Finch emphasizing that he will be with the team in the upcoming season, and you have a stew brewing. Whenever I see unnecessary things being done or discussed, I get curious, and Towns has been a bit over the top this off-season. First, throwing out the pitch with the Yankees (very random), interview with Pat Bev, interview with GQ and the most odd-ball thing of all, posting a vid of you putting up shots at the Wolves training facility (talking about being in the lab), when you're obviously in Paris.
It would also explain why so many players are being connected to the Wolves in free agency. It appears that the Wolves are spending money that they should not have, based on the numbers most of us have been looking at over recent weeks. NAZ inks today, before FA even begins.......what was the rush there? All of the activity makes me think a big change is in store. The NAZ signing with a player option after 2 years, makes me think NAZ was promised an opportunity to have more of a presence in the line-up, which could lead to more money down the road.
I'm not for trading Towns right now because of the market, but if TC can get a solid deal, now may be the time to turn the corner on Karl Anthony Towns..........WE'LL SEE!

IDK Mac, I think you are reading too much into this. Yankees are his hometown team, so that's not strange. The rumors that he is selling his house are not true. The reason to sign Naz was to lock him up before FA so the Wolves wouldn't have to try to match an outlandish offer. Naz wants to be here and make good money. He got good money to stay put. Some of the "Players" attached to the Wolves in FA are just BS. Caris LaVert??!!?? No way TC even looks at him.

Dude, I can't keep up....He lives in New Jersey, roots for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Yankees are his hometown team and why not the Mets (don't answer that), but why now of a sudden? He's coming off the most non-productive season of his career. Why is he so appealing to the Yankees? Maybe I am reading too much, but there's so much to READ!

What does Taylor/Connelly need to do to quiet the rumors besides actually trading Towns?
- Towns will be here, we emphasize it - that is too suspicious
- Towns will be here. Period. - that is not enough emphasis
- Say nothing - too quiet, something is going on
- We listen to calls - he is gone for sure
- Maybe - oh ya, gone yesterday
- We are considering it - ????

He's always worn Yankees gear and was open about being a fan etc, maybe the difference now is that people are paying more attention to KAT (and looking for faults/signs)?

You guys do know that New Jersey is a tiny little place that is basically a suburb of NYC and Philly? The closest home team they had was Nets which is in NYC now. We have Packers fans in Minnesota. Who wants to cheer for the Jets unless you are 70 years old
Yankees fans are like Cowboys fans. They are everywhere.

I'm not surprised. We clearly didn't want to take back money unless it was for a player like Morris. So he'd have to go to a team with the cap space to absorb his contract. I'd imagine most teams that would want him don't have the space and under the cap teams weren't going to give us a pick to absorb his contract.

Fair enough... I wish we had a FRP to trade TP, FRP for Suggs...

Is Suggs worth a FRP?
I'm not sure he does anything that well. He can't shoot, he's just an OK passer with a poor AST/TO ratio and he seems to only be a slightly positive defender (and a clear negative on offense)

I wouldn't trade Minott or Miller for him.

I thought I read that he can't be traded until his contract is guaranteed?

The only thing for Suggs is the hope he figures it out playing back home and away from an organization that doesn’t develop it’s young guards all that well?

I think the issue is that trades can't be finalized until after our deadline. So we could've picked up the option if we had a trade worked out. Which we clearly did not.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
