I need Rubio to give me a little more scoring. Getting seven points between Jauncho, Layman, and Vanderbilt is terrible. We need a competent 4 so bad.

I can live with Vanderbilt's lack of scoring since he contributes with defense and rebounding. When Hernangomez and Layman aren't scoring they have very little value on the court.

Jauncho defensively is sad.

The foul was when Culver swiped down with his arm on top of DeRozan's right arm just before the clean strip.

You mean the right arm that was pushing Culver? I mean, I'm fine with contact, I'm not so fine when contact is only allowed to one player.

I feel like we are watching two different gifs, because Jarrett Culver literally swings his arm across DeMar Derozan's body there.

DeRozan extend his right arm towards Culver belly and that's a foul. Isn't glaring by it is. Then Culver extend his right arm through DeRozan body, but in that image isn't clear what or if he his something. Then he swings a second time and is all ball. Not sure which was called and I will concede if the call was made before DeRozan create space with his right arm, because after that neither of those contact plays seems like a true foul.

Yep. They usually call the obvious reach in by Culver and let the far less obvious push off go.

DeRozan doesn't extend his arm to push off on this play though, Culver is the only one that fouls when he swipes down across DeRozan's arm.

You don't have to completely extend your arm to extend your arm. Offensive players aren't allowed to use his off arm to protect the ball by creating contact on the defender, which happens very often and I'm OK with IF they defensive player is also allowed to get contact (not grab or push, which Culver didn't do). Culver neither touch DeRozan right arm in his first swipe, but he could have grabbed DeRozan right arm wich he had in his belly.

DeRozan's right arm is in text book position, it is absolutely allowed to be there and protect the ball. It's textbook because it keeps the defender from getting too close to the ball and if they do swipe at the ball they are almost for sure going to foul by creating contact on the off arm.

DeMar definitely got some ticky tack calls his way but that one wasn't one of them.

I played pick up before the pandemy, and play organized as a teenager more than a decade ago, but how that make more or less of a foul?

Plus, this settles it:

https://official.nba.com/l2m/L2MReport.html?gameId=0022000138

The league says "Culver (MIN) makes contact with the ball during DeRozan's (SAS) shooting motion and dislodges the ball defending his driving shot attempt. Any ensuing contact is deemed incidental."

When was the last time you had your eyes checked?
