Man, Philadelphia has to be EXTREMELY motivated tomorrow. On paper, they could absolutely take the championship. This is a GOLDEN chance, they will probably never have an easier path than this, they can beat every team remaining. They lose tomorrow I dont' know what to day, the title is absolutely wide open.

Devin Booker is getting so much PRICELESS experience from these playoffs. This will pay off in dividends for the rest of his career, he is learning to really be the man. Fun to watch.

76ers look so much better with Simmons on the bench!

Ben Simmons is made of memory foam. I have never seen such a soft and weak minded “all star”. 76ers have serious problems and he is the major reason.

All I need is for the Clippers to lose either of the next two series and I will be very happy. I love the idea of the Suns, The Hawks, or especially Bucks being champions. I honestly believe that if the season hadn’t been so warped by Covid Bucks would be defending NBA champs having defeated the Clippers in last seasons playoffs. All 3 teams I mentioned did everything correctly. They rebuilt took big gambles and were well led. Who would have guessed that CP3 had this much left in him. Also look at the Bucks before GA and after. The Hawks have drafted well and developed their young talent. I don’t like big market buyers like the Clippers, but I am all for any of the others.

With Jokic being the likely MVP and Embiid being the runner-up, these are basically the two best bigs of the current era at their prime.

They both are pretty stellar in different areas. Embiid is massive and a defensive beast, Jokic is a crazy catalyst and facilitator for his team. Both can score at the highest levels too of course.

I'm very curious to see what happens to them in the playoffs. Will their talent (and lets face it, really good teams) be enough for them to continue to dominate in the playoffs? Will the way the game is played hurt them as guards light their teams up and dictate the game more than they can?

I do suspect that these two will be just as effective now than they have been but if they come up short early, say first or second round, I'll probably be even more convinced that a big shouldn't be your number 1 guy so to speak.

Yea, I think you are playing on ultra-hard mode if your best player/scorer is a Center/PF.

Simmons has to be traded. No chance he comes out of this mental block in Philly. Doesn’t help Embiid even went after him a bit postgame, saying the turning point was when we didn’t shoot an open shot. Doc not sticking up for him either. Ouch.

Simmons was alway aloof in that locker room and now that his play is a huge part of why they lost, I don’t think the locker room will support him.

If the 76ers can get CJ McCollum, which is a media suggested deal that makes some sense, they have to pull the trigger. Especially if they can get someone like Covington back too. I also like the idea of a Simmons for Sexton plus some other Cavs assets. Garland/Sexton isn’t going to work long term and I think Garland is going to be the better PG of the two.

It is absolutely brutal with Ben Simmons and Philly. That franchise may never live that down, they have put themselves in the best position to win it all and THIS SEASON was as good as it gets. They looked strong and the field was greatly diminished. After this there will be healthy Nets, Warriros, Laker teams to contend with. On top of that healthy Denver, maybe a retooled Jazz. There was no easier path for a really good team like the Sixers to get a title than the one they have right now.

I would see this as a massively blown opportunity. I don't think Simmons wears a 76ers uniform ever again. They will try to get a scoring PG and rebuild, if I was a fan I would feel like we just let out best shot pass us by.

I blame 76ers FO and Ben for not adding some kind of shot to his game since entering the league. If Fultz could had to re learn how to shoot from the yips than there’s no excuse.

But on the other end there’s Philadelphia who has the most ruthless, brutal, and narcissistic fan base ever. Everything pro athlete woes get magnified times 10 in that city. JJ Reddick said on his podcast that they criticize so harshly it makes Ben not want to shoot. Idc who you are it will affect your mental sooner or later. There’s been games he made a 3 and fans are overreacting like he hit a Game 7 GW. Those things weigh on young players.

I know it’s just pickup but he looks comfortable here just shooting with no judgement

He's basically Andrew Wiggins perception wise except he has a much stronger spotlight on him. If he goes to a good team next season and does well, particularly if he starts taking and making more shots, people will be talking about how that new team unlocked him. He's much better than Wiggins though so if he gets his head right he can still be an all-star player on another squad.

If you don't have an ELITE scoring 1-3 you are probably not winning an NBA title. It's crazy, you have to have that guy be your number 1.
