So you'd rather have him fat and weak than cut and strong?

No I wouldn't rather have that. I already think KAT struggle against some of the more physical players in the league, particularly on defense. The worry is that some of these big guys will outmuscle him. That said it may not be the case at all, generally I do think there are benefits to being slimmer, health being one of them. If his stamina is better and he is actually stronger then that is a big win. Maybe he can out work some of these bigger guys as they get tired. As long as he is still able to grab boards and isn't getting shut down in the paint but big guards I'm fine.

I was hoping we'd sign him years ago. But it's cool, we'll get him in his waning years like we do with most good players.

Like the info about Pat Bev talking. Seems like vocal players on the floor are a major asset because a lot of teams don't have it. Some of our old coaches used to talk about the lack of communication and KG always got praised for his ability to communicate with teammates.

I agree except I would add exceptional rebounder/rim defender. A yin to naz reid and kat's yang.

Derrick Favors might be available and fits the mold perfectly. Taurean Prince would be a salary match.

Its really discouraging to hear all the whinging from Debbie Downer Anthony Towns.
Of course we all have empathy for him losing his mom, and he gets a pass for having a subpar season and playing last season out of shape because its heartbreaking to lose a parent young like that, and it's all fine and good to open up about that.

But your franchise player whinging about former teammates saying mean things?
Puffing up your chest about being professional during the Butler fiasco when Butler carried a new set of teammates to the finals and your team fell off a cliff after he left?
Your old coach who yelled too much riding Julius Randle and a bunch of nobodies to the playoffs?
Whether he likes it or not KAT has a reputation around the league as
1. Soft
2. A whiner.
If he thinks Jimmy Butler was bad, he would have been in tears after every single practice with Michael Jordan.
He's already had half a dozen teammates more talented than anyone KG played with here, and KG made the playoffs 8 straight years with a much worse supporting cast.
You want to change your rep, you have to change yourself.
That starts with ending the whinging and not living in the past.

There's a lot that happened for him to be positive about. We've added a lot of talent with Ant and McDaniels.
Bolmaro coming over, Naz and Nowell have made strides and have a couple of years under their belts.
Full Season with Russell and Beasley.
New Coach, New Ownership, new GM in Gupta who we keep hearing great things about.
Can you imagine a 25 year old KG surrounded with this much young talent and shooting?
So many better things to talk about than poor put-upon Holden Caulfield Anthony Towns.
As Ricky famously said, "Change your face".
Leaders will always say "I need to be better" after a loss before talking about anyone or anything else.

I'm discouraged because I don't think we can win with KAT until he learns to be positive and just make the next play, whatever comes.
It's one of the things I'm so encouraged about with 19 year old Anthony Edwards who already seems to get that.

Ant does look like a beast, looks like he's not only added height but muscle too.
He has that top 1% of 1% size/strength/athleticism profile thats super rare like Adrian Peterson.
If he keeps improving he has a top 5 player ceiling, especially if he is really 6'6 with muscle, and it changes the game for us offensively if he can play a big wing game versus just being a scoring guard.
I really feel this will be his team by the all-star break and we'll be speaking of the rest of the team as supporting players.
Almost makes me want to pump the brakes on the SImmons train a little bit.
