That said and maybe it’s drinking the KoolAid, but my biggest concerns were how KAT and Rudy would fit and if Jaden would be able to fill his role. On the first part it was uneven but there was some really nice stretches (KAT passing first half as part of it..think it will work out soon enough. On the 2nd that was better than I hoped. Ant had moments and DLo finished strong so think that works out soon. Probably should be 500 first 14 games but I saw enough to say I’m not worried even if end result was not impressive.

Since we're going 7-0 to start I would hate the 7 game losing streak you're suggesting.

LMAO. Nobody playing in the game yesterday was a little guy. Everybody was actually pretty big. They were just little when compared to Rudy.

KAT is trying too much to get others involved..I like those lobs to Gobert though. I do wish we cut down the plays on offense where Gobert tries to work in post..it just doesn't feel like his game, he looks very clumsy when he tries to take his man in post.

Yes, I’ve thought about that too, and you’re right.

Towns is so tremendously talented that in many games, he has that attribute where you don’t notice him during the game, then check the box score and he was 27-13-4 with 5 3’s. I also think he cares very much about winning, and how he is perceived by the public. Perhaps he cares too much, because in my opinion, he gets overly excited in big games and his emotions cause him to screw up. One Play-In game is rough for him, but in a six game series vs MEM he does fine. He seems to miss and foul when the other team is in the middle of runs.

Here’s my take. Towns could have the best season of his life this year if he realizes with Gobert, DLo, and a rising Ant, McDaniels, and Nowell, it’s no longer all on him.

He's a really good player.

He is, but it doesn't look good on McDaniels getting obliterated by him.

I think he does realize this.

I heard this comment multiple times over the summer, essentially Towns is very good at doing what he thinks he's supposed to do. He says all of the right things, but sometimes it can come off as robotic or insincere. I think last night is another example. Last night he was all about sharing the ball in the first half because he knows he has the surrounding cast and it's no longer all about him. But then at some point that stops.

I think Finch went to him and said something like “look big guy, we love that you got so many assists. But, taking two shots in a half is not okay. You are a max/supermax star, and you need to also find your place in the offense.” KAT just needs to be wiser about when to do what. Oh, and he needs to keep his ******* legs to himself on 3 point attempts.

For the record, SGA wasn't Jaden's man for the whole game. I'm watching now and Jaden wasn't put on him until 8 minutes into the game, once Giddey was out. He was Ant's man first and then Russell took him for a while too.

Ant did well on SGA in the first half (Jaden was on Giddey).
Though he didn't do very well against him the second half but wasn't on him much due to foul trouble.

Based on his Stat Line SGA was most likely obliterating whoever was guarding him whenever they were guarding him. If McDaniels was getting less obliterated than he should have been guarding him more.

True. SGA did most of his obliterating in the second half.

Gonna be interesting to see the next two games. Utah is coming off a big win against Denver. If that isn’t motivating enough, V8, Beasley, and Kessler will all want revenge. Rudy gets his first look at a few of his old teammates (MC is the only remaining starter, and they brought in a ton of new players.) Then, we go into OKC, who you gotta figure want revenge after we squeaked out a win (I know they are tanking, but still.) The Wolves got punched in the mouth in the third. Ant and Karl stayed sprawled on the ground helpless and defenseless while MCD, Dlo, and especially Rudy got back up and took care of business. Now we need to make a couple of statements and enjoy some more of that sweet rabbit soup.

Do V8, Beasley and Kessler really need revenge against us? Beasley got paid a crapton of money and we stuck with him through all his legal issues. Kessler never even played here and we sent him to a place where he will get a chance to get his career off to a great start. Vando? Maybe.

Kessler absolutely, if guys in my random rec league try to go off against their old teams/friends on a sunday morning, you can bet a kid that got traded from a franchise his grandfather used to play for is going to want to show why he should've been kept.

I can see Beasley wanting to go off against us, he definitely has that vibe of "i'm better than the guys that are still here".

I love Vando, though  all heart, all hustle.

I very honestly see zero reason for revenge for any of them. No reason for Gobert to want revenge either. However, if that floats their boat and somehow makes them play better cool.

No need for revenge motivation, they own our pick this year. They looked good against DEN with 9 good rotational players. A lot of fire power off the bench with shooters and scorers. They also got someone who can pull your arm out (yes, Kelly, you know who I am talking about). Don’t overlook this team but I will sit Gobert, Towns and Edwards anyway. :D There is a reason Ainge traded for Olynyk. He is the Twolves and Cavs stopper.

Good thing the schedules easy or it is on paper

Know who else started 9-8?
