My first initial thought but the way the game was going they weren’t coming back realistically.

Plus they prob got the call from the league

We had a 15-point 1st quarter. They had a 13-point 4th quarter.
The second and third quarters were basically a draw.

The difference as the Lakers scored 34 in the 1st, while we only scored 20 in the 4th.

We played as bad offensively as we possibly could have and Lakers still didn’t crack 95 points. We have homecourt let’s make adjustments and do this!

That was a pretty frustrating game...defense was pretty good after first qtr but my god, the offense was just very frustrating. Lakers were there for taking in 2nd half and gave Wolves opening but Wolves offense just refused to cash in those opportunities. This might be the first game this season where I saw the team being very hesitant in taking 3's...just 20 3 pt attempts is just not this team's style. Bench was crap...just a bad game for Naz/Donte/NAW. Conley was just useless. Rudy was good defensively but man his rebounding could have been so much better

Deserved loss. 1st quarter and poor 3 shooting just kill us. Playmaking was awful from Mike Ant DDV , Rudy wake up a bit but not enough. When Randle is your best player by far m, you have to worry. A game to forget move on and be ready for game 3.

I would add that this team has been inconsistent all season. Miracle barely arrive in PO.

It's actually encouraging to know that tonight was more about us not bringing it to start than anything LAL did schematically offensively. In fact, what they did probably brought us back into the game.

I'm cautiously optimistic going forward in this series.

I agree with this.. I feel like they were playing with game 7 desperation as well. Reeves, LeBron and Luka all 40 minutes plus... even if they beat us this round they will be gassed for next round

Ugly game. Only 1st Q Lakers played some basketball. Too many bad passes, shot clock violations and offensive fouls. Naz, Donte, NAW, Jaden all had a bad game, Ant is not getting the ball as much as he should. Really frustrating to see Rudy unable to rebound, he always looks to tip the ball with one hand before catching it and he fails most often than not. Lakers were bad too so I still believe we win the series.

I expect long series for everyone except OKC

All other teams are comparably talented, with their own strengths and weaknesses,

Found it a little frustrating that the Lakers could get Rudy iso-ed everytime, but the Wolves couldn't seem to the same with Luka on the other end

Quick thoughts through two games,

Wolves feel like the better team to me. As been the whole season, the Wolves biggest challenge is themselves.

Ant injury seemed huge. Needed him early to weather the storm. Also being a foul baiter needs to be his thing in the offseason.

Lebron and Reeves haven't scared me at all. Luka is great. Need to make him work on defense a lot more.

Refs were just terrible. It's not just calls, but no calls, out of bounds calls, just things that carry momentum in a game. Hopefully Target Center lets them hear it

Yeah that’s on Finch man. Have to figure that out. Go faster.

Yeah, but you cant prescript everything. Players have to recognise, hunt and aggressively punish matchups.

I think a lot of it had to do with Ants injury. Went very passive for 3 quarters

Rudy's defense is good for the most part even in playoffs...I feel like its his offense which has been the bigger issue. Not sure what happened but his rebounding today was quite weak...just couldn't capitalize on Lakers going small at all.

I appreciated out effort. The refs had a tough whistle all night. Our shots were not falling. In the first quarter, this felt like a game that we might just "mail in", but we put in the effort and made LAL play hard the entire night to sneak out a win.

Why is consistent ball movement so hard for this team? They see the success when they do it but can't seem to repeat it. Is it IQ? Willingness? Coaching? Players going rogue? What??

Stephen A actually summed it quite well honestly in the beginning

Bad coaching, lots of flopping with inconsistent calls, terrible shooting, and no flow to the game at all. Hard to believe many basketball fans across the planet enjoyed that one. Yuck.
