You give up so much space and the play is already over. The elbow to the back of the head is def over the top. But he is just pushing back. I do think it was a pretty natural motion to try to counteract.

I've played basketball. It most certainly was not. You are not allowed to use your elbows to box out. You can use your arms to seal, but you are not allowed to push out like LeBron did. It's supposed to be your legs and butt to gain position.

That sort of contact happens anywhere else you gonna get some words and physical contact back.
