Just think if we would have taken Wiseman instead of Ant. Ouch. Drafts picks are such a crap shoot.

But some here also wanted to trade that top pick for Simmons :o

That would be the Twolves thing to do. Derrick Williams 2.0.

Rosas was a beast, the man knew talent.

Do you think turning DLo into Conley increases, or decreases, Beverley’s desire to come back to the Wolves?

Why does that matter?

As others have said, it appears the FO doesn't feel he is a fit for the current roster.

I have no idea what history Conley and Beverley might have, so it's tough to say how it impacts Bev's desire to comeback to Minnesota. I'm doubtful that Conley replacing DLO makes much difference in terms of opportunity for Bev (might even be better since Conley is likely to play less minutes than DLO the rest of the way). I'm not sure it matters since the report from Stein indicated it was the Wolves who weren't interested, though I'm baffled as to why we wouldn't at least try to bring him back.

I'd rather have Conley's voice in the locker room and on the court. i like Pat Bev but his antics get tiresome quick. Pretty soon Kat and Ant are arguing every call again.

 Touche'! That was good. That said Rosas was plenty good. Nobody is perfect. Except us of course.

You make it sound like Kat and Ant actually stopped complaining about most every call.

I don't even consider that really bad. He miscalculated his moves and took a player he probably wasn't really prepared to take but hoped it would land. I bet he didn't have a ton of research on Culver or at least wasn't totally sold on him but seeing his original plans feel through, he gambled. Culver had solid size, good attitude, and potential to be a nice wing. When I look at his real target, Garland, It just makes Rosas look even better, he knew Garland was going to be a beast, he just couldn't get in position to take him.

We needed shooting and trex arms Herro and old cam Johnson were there at 11. Why make a trade unless you are sure your man will be there?

But the point is his target was not there. He could had get the trade ready and make the trade right before the selection. Otherwise, have a backup plan ready or is he too busy with staffers to do the necessary research?
We all know Zion will be great but just can't get the number 1 pick from NOP, let's get the fifth pick and hope he falls due to weight issue. It just doesn't work that way. Rosa is at best is a average GM. His small ball approach just doesn't work. I was thinking we traded Wiggins for DLo+a #1. In hindsight, we should just not make that trade until GSW is desperate which the would had in the following summer.

They couldn’t wait until the selection. Phoenix was do it before or not at all. He gambled on Cavs not taking Garland since they spent a first on Sexton fairly recently. But agreed he didn’t have a contingency in case it didn’t work out.

As much as I’d like PatBev back, I think Conley is the polar opposite of Conley and the direction of where we’re trying to go (culture-wise). I saw a tweet stating that Conley has not had a tech (nor ejected) in 1000 games.

I think this is a great culture move for us and is exactly what we need. Kyle Anderson and Mike Conley are high IQ, high character guys that should mature this group quickly - specifically looking at improvement from KAT.

Hopefully the culture changes and we can learn to close out games correctly. We still need to find, and groom, our future PG - but that can be done in the off-season.

Could we get Wall or Westbrook to backup Conley? Is there a 3pt shooter in the buy out market besides Forbes?

What is your fascination with either of those two? You want to replace one gunner (Russell) with another?

To be fair, it was reported we wanted Garland not Culver but we ended up with Culver because they didn't think Cleveland would draft him.

Say what you will Westbrook plays his heart out I'd rather have him play instead of Nowell. Wall I don't get as much.
