It looks like ATL wants to move up for Maluach. I'd offer Gobert for Okongwu, Niang, Bufkin, 13 pick.

Indiana is showing that Minnesota’s iq was lacking. Does anyone truly believe Indiana is a better team than OKC from top to bottom?

I think they’re just a high iq, well coached team. They have a championship coach who also was a champion as a player I believe. Their game plan is just better than OKC right now.

This is where the wolves NEED to improve the most…their iq.

They also are evidence that traditional lineups don't really matter. While everyone here cries about our "no center" lineups, the Pacers obliterate opponents with their Siakam/Toppin lineup.

I think the biggest factor in the Pacers success against the Thunder is they are making their corner 3s. If you move the ball OKC will give up corner looks.

Their smaller lineup is still sizable, mobile and are both good on offense and defense. So you’re not really losing anything when they go to it.

Wolves small ball bigs are bad on defense and smaller than they seem

Still maintain that Jaylen Clark should have gotten minutes against OKC.

Which we tried to exploit, but just couldn't make our corner 3s at the same rate as Indiana has

Indy has multiple competent ballhandlers and arent wasting time holding the ball allowing the OKC sharks to circle them like we did.

Carlisie has put on a master class in playoff coaching this year.
You could see it from the game where they beat us at full strength while playing a bunch of scrubs in the regular season.

Just doesn't seem to impact winning as much as you would like. Always reminded me of a Rodney Hood.

Okc is getting valuable playoff experience against a well coached Indiana team.

I see beating them a challenge next year. Didn't want to part with rudy, but changed my tune. Consolidation of assets for 26-27 and preferably 27-28 may be our best bet.

Indy play well but they got the same problem we got against OKC. Way too many turnovers to expect to win the series. And Haliburton being back on earth does not help too. OKC is just too good, their defense is elite.

The two remember the start of Balcetis’ time in Denver a little differently. Connelly asked Balcetis what he wanted to do; Balcetis honed in on analytics. He said he didn’t know much about basketball analytics but figured it out gradually, helped by his experience working with data at Fidelity. He figured he could at least make them aesthetically presentable; he already had experience with Powerpoint and Excel and could lean on that. In the early days, Balcetis said, he updated the numbers by hand.

Connelly said Balcetis is “sandbagging a bit.”

Balcetis has risen up through the ranks in the time since. Connelly preaches an all-hands approach in the Nuggets front office and likes to avoid pigeonholing members of his staff. Balcetis’ expertise has expanded, leaning into scouting, and he works with vice president of basketball operations Ben Tenzer on the salary cap, as well.

“I wouldn’t be in a position like this where things are going fairly well with the team without the guys I work with,” Balcetis said. “It always takes a village.”

He still works with analytics but is also now heavily involved in strategy and analysis. Connelly calls him a five-tool player and praises his eye for talent. Balcetis’ ability to turn ideas into digestible work the rest of the organization can absorb is a skill, Connelly adds.

“He does a very good job of turning complex concepts and ideas into things that everyone can grasp,” Connelly said.

Pacers just have a much better head coach.

Ind such a well coached team. Their style of play is fast, yet calculated. Such a fun team to watch.
