Takes Wolves young, but contractually very helpful, being both Jabari and Amen don’t need to get paid until Gobert contract expires…

Towns + McLaughlin + Rights to Miller

FOR

Rights to Amen + Jabari + KPJ

If Wolves can pull 1 or both of Nets 1sts owed, great. Team would be stacked with high end potential players. And as Memphis proved this offseason, financially doable to have 2x 2nd contract max deals (Morant/Bane) being Edwards plus one of Jabari/Amen eventually earn it while having 1x near 2nd contract max (JJ) which for Wolves would be McDaniels.

Gobert | Reid
Jabari | Anderson
McDaniels | KPJ | TBJ
Edwards | NAW
Conley | Amen (mentored by Conley until ready to start at PG)

Rockets do this to win more now. FVV overpay signals ready to pay big bucks - kind of weird when #4 overall pick best position is PG.

Sounds like Dame finally requested a trade, his last gift was getting Grant paid. This should finally kill off anyone's last hope of trading Kat for Portland's youth.

Trade Dame for Kat (+ whomever that’s not ANT, maybe McDaniels) lol

This is why Maxey didn't get an extension from Philadelphia

I really don't need Lilaird to stay in the west. PLEASE send him east unless he comes here. Sucks that we probably wont get Scoot now but yea, send him away from us.

This is absolutely not going to happen because we’re running it back, but I’ve always been intrigued with KAT’s fit in OKC. Given Chet’s inability to handle bigger bodies at the moment, KAT would be an ideal compliment. Chet’s defense covering for KAT’s weakness on that end. And KAT’s presence allowing Chet to handle the PF.

OKC just signed Micić, a two time Euroleague finals MVP. He’s a combo guard with PG passing. They just drafted another PG in the lotto. And they also have Giddey, SGA, Mann, and Williams to play backcourt minutes (although Williams’ length plays just fine at SF too).

That’s a lot of bodies trying to get minutes. I love Williams, but they are not trading him for anything. I don’t love Giddey as much, but he’s still only 20 and has put up some very nice numbers. His shooting and defense are issues, but he’s good.

We have a full roster and and are dedicated to running it back, but Giddey, Dort, some salary filler, plus some of OKCs millions of first round picks (they have 12 in the next four years) makes some sense.

We now have a full roster plus are

Trading a star to a team in your division while not getting a star back (that is a better fit) seems like a bad move for the team sending the star out.

OKC has assets to get it done, these are not them.

West got a lot better so far. Not so many cream puffs. Next year is going to be even crazier. I would guess there’s going to be a ton of KAT trade speculation going into the deadline (unless we’re winning at a .600-ish clip).

I'm going to do my best to get along with people I've fought with in the past. I'm encouraging others to do the same and I know some will say who are you to be telling me to play nice. I get it. However, I'm going to try. First step is taking everybody off my foe list.

Guys that I've tended to fight with in the past, I will do my very best to not take offense in what you say and if you cut me some slack we might have some good discussion.

And most teams messed up their books in the process!

The west is always strong , last year it was decimated by injuries.
I really don’t see Kat being traded to a west team though I see him going back “home” but I do have OKC as third possible destination behind the NY teams but no way I’d want the chucker Dort.

Wolves were like 4-12 against the cream puff teams last year, a lot of low effort losses

so this should be a good thing

Good call. And with a weaker draft, no one will be outright tanking for Victor.

With Houston signing massive contracts to Vanfleet and Dillon Brooks, they may panic if they miss the playoffs this season and be looking to trade youth for someone like Kat if that is something we are looking at doing next off season.
