Good eye, but Naz is one of those, “more valuable to Rosas than other GM’s” types of guys.

Rosas has very little to point to as a successful GM, so he will probably want to keep Naz around. He found Naz undrafted, locked him up to the lowest possible deal for four years, and he has developed into a decent KAT-lite back up.

I doubt Rosas can afford to trade him.

Naz is Rosas trophy in his 2nd year? Ummm ... maybe Beas and McD ... Ant not terrible considering it was a fall back plan. Let’s be clear I’m not thrilled with Rosas or Saunders performances’, but I’m far less thrilled with KAT’s absence, our team shooting, and team defense - tho some Positive signs with McD/JV/ANT. Reid is an utterly horrible defender via the eye test ... never seen a C spin in circles like he does. All reaction and virtually no IQ to anticipate anything.

We’re talking about good GMing. Naz didn’t cost even a second rounder, his contract is as cheap as the nba allows, and each year is unguaranteed, providing zero risk.

I understand you don’t like him, and everyone has their guys here they don’t like .. plenty of that to go around. But this GMing provided usable NBA minutes with no investment and no risk. It’s a rare bright spot with a GM who has made many bad moves, and has a bad, unbalanced team losing games to show for it.

This board ..!

To be fair this is his first year with significant minutes. C take a while to develop, esp re: BBIQ (lets be serious minny is not the best place to develop your defense either..). I really like his tools and given his age i think he's a good prospect.

Obviously a prospect of need ... not a trophy ... I do t know - not even sure what you’re debating.

He got plenty of run last year with Towns taking half the season off. But I like him as depth big and he occasionally brings the wood in some games on both ends. They can't all be star players. I also don't expect to get Reid's best every night. Agree, don't see many players getting good development help on defense here. He'll end up a decent player on a different team in the near enough future on a normal deal and showing more consistent game energy then he does now and better defense/defensive gameIQ they help get him to.

Of course then there is the Davis 5million deal that is not the cheapest vet deal the league will allow. Which could have been 2.5 with the league covering much of that if they used the vet min. Right? What, no GM award to hang on the wall this time? Take advantage of one, get taken by the other.

Beasley for Randle? Beasley been very efficient for us. And playing like all star. But so has Randle. We need rebounding and more interior scoring. And Randle shooting 39% on 3s this yr. I would pull the trigger if Knicks ask for Beasley.

Beasley’s value is just going to keep going up and up. keep him till next season at least. That contract is too great.

Isn't he going to jail at the end of the season?

why would Wolves even look into trading Beasley unless he is part of a trade that involves getting a star in return? We all know how hard it is to find a guard with good perimeter shooting like Beasley

I got nothing against Randle but I would prefer to run with the gunslinger and see what McD/JV can do ...

... Hey!! We got Okogie with long arms at PF

The last thing any Wolves fan should be thinking right now, while watching our games, is "hey, lets trade Beasley".

His value has gone above Randle level for sure.

Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Malik Beasley has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of threats of violence related to a September incident in which he was arrested, his attorney, Steven Haney, confirmed to ESPN on Monday.

Haney said Beasley, 24, won't have to serve jail time or home confinement until after the 2020-21 NBA season. His sentence will not exceed 120 days. If Beasley successfully completes probation, his threat of violence charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor, according to Haney.

As part of the plea, a felony drug charge was dismissed

I don’t know about an NBA suspension - I think we would have heard something if they were going to do something, right?

I'm hoping the Wolves can make a move sooner rather than later. The Wolves need to do something to shake up the team right now.

The only players I wouldn't be willing to trade right now are Beasley & Edwards.Really feel the Wolves should look to trade both Towns & Russell.I know they've only played like a half dozen games together but really feel both guys aren't franchise players and more so aren't guys that can truly lead a team anywhere. At most a bottom half of the playoffs and a team that gets knockout in the 1st round.

Think we have a pretty solid roster with Beasley,Edwards,Rubio,Reid,Nowell,McDaniels,Vanderbelt and need to up grade at the starting four and five and then get a solid back up PG.

Really would look into trading Towns to the Hawks for Collins & Capela,if not both one of those players plus someone like Hueter or Hunter and a pick.

It seems like being a potential Wolves trade target is bad for the health. Both Gordan and Nance are now out for the next 4-6 weeks with injuries.

Well wouldn’t be a bad idea to.trade for them when their value is at their lowest, this season is a lost cause anyway..but with McDaniels improving each game the wolves might no longer need a starting PF for next season anyway.

I only agree with the first part in trading Dlo,rubio, Juan etc.
keep Beasley, Jaden, Ant and Nowell. If Jaden keeps showing promise of being our J. Isaac then keep Towns because they would be a great front court duo.
Imagine a young core of Ant, McDaniels, Beasley AND Suggs at pg. Wolves really need their pick this offseason.

This is what bugs me ...”Are DLo and KAT a legit duo?” ... I don’t know what to think and need to see them play together, but ya, there’s a chance they could be worth more in trade. It’s wearing to overhaul the roster and never see the main two pieces not even play together.
