Ebanks writeup on my blog.
Also, with McCamey declaring (kind of caught me off-guard, though who knows if he'll stay in) I'm wondering who all of you would rate as the better prospect, he or Blesdoe.

Re: Operation ET: Prospect Thread II
Bledsoe's younger and a better athlete, McCamey's bigger and has made strides in his game since freshman year (particularly in terms of PG skills) that Bledsoe can't be guaranteed to make. I'd take McCamey, even though I think he's a bit of a paper tiger. Then again, I don't like Bledsoe all that much, so that isn't high praise.
Shouldn't have been too much of a surprise. There were signs of strain in his relationship with Weber as the season wound down, and he was asked about Turner's plans a couple times and made statements along the lines of if someone thought he'd be a 1st rounder they should probably leave. I would have been more surprised if he didn't toss his hat in the ring.
Good take on Ebanks, don't really agree with all of it, but I do see most of what you like about him.

Is his name pronounced ey-nes or ee-nes? It won't impact one way or the other whether I jump on the bandwagon, I just want to make sure I giggle at the correct pronunciation.
Yeah, he's pretty lucky he's going to be a basketball player and not a pianist.

Re: Operation ET: Prospect Thread II
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- When Wes Johnson was asked what he thought Syracuse fans would remember most about him, he chose personal over performance.
"My smile," Johnson said Monday, beaming as usual as he announced he was declaring for the NBA draft and hiring an agent.
The 6-foot-7 small forward, who spent two years at Iowa State, is considered a potential lottery pick, maybe even a top 5 choice.
"I'm still speechless about it," Johnson said.
In making the announcement that everyone expected and Syracuse fans dreaded, Johnson said it was a difficult decision because he enjoyed school and his teammates. He said he would continue taking classes and expects to graduate this summer.
"I think my mom, my family will be pleased by that," he said.
If you could rank attitude in NBA Live 2011, Wesley Johnson should get a 99.

That would be perfect but it looks like he is almost as big as Love or Jefferson.

I'm kinda drinking the Ekpe Udoh koolaid after the tourney performance. Just seems really versatile and has a lot of unique talents for a guy with his frame. He plays really strong defensively in the paint, yet he can handle the ball and hit a J. I'd like to nab him w/ that Charlotte pick.

I like him too, but I think he may be gone much earlier than that. It wouldn't surprise me to see someone nab him in front of Aldrich or Aminu, players who many have considered a top 8 lock.

unfortunately that Charlotte pick is probably going to be tantalizingly close to getting a player we really want vs leftovers, it'd be nice to move up a few spots if possible.

Wonder if the combo of the Utah pick and Pekovic could get us up into the top 10?

It would probably depend on who is picking where. Pek + 16 might get us Xavier Henry at the back of the lottery though.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Pekovic might be semi-awesome offensively though, I'm afraid to use him on such a throw in. I'm not sure if we have such a unique combination of physical brute strength w/ competent low post offensive moves in the league right now, I'm curious to see where he can go with it.

I agree with Devilz. I don't wanna trade Pek unless it's a no brainer. Henry could be a Trajan Langdon clone.

I don't disagree; I'm just sayin'.
I'd also prefer to see him play first, unless, say, he'd be a necessary piece to get a 2nd top 4 pick which would allow us to draft Favors; that's a no brainer to me.
I'd rather use Flynn to move up in that area of the lottery (like Flynn + Utah pick for Pacers pick...#10?) if there was somebody we liked. I'd be all over that if Aldrich, Aminu, or Henry were there, in that order.

Re: Operation ET: Prospect Thread II
I don't think Henry's a guy I'd move up for. It looks like there will be a lot of solid wings available in the CHA-UTA range, and that many of them have the potential to space the floor. If we're moving up from the CHA pick, I'd expect the target would be a big, hopefully after taking Turner with our own pick. Someone like Monroe, Udoh or Vesely.

Re: Operation ET: Prospect Thread II
I am very excited to see that JaJuan Johnson is entering the draft.
#1 - As a Gopher fan, they should have a better shot of beating Purdue from now on
#2 - I think he's a very good player that the TWolves could target with their Utah pick
#3 - I want to compare his combine measurements, athleticism and quickness to Favors to see what kind of an athlete Favors really is.
