This is on that horrible cusp where I think Minnesota should match, but I understand if they don't. I just think at 6% of the cap, Tyus is definitely worth it, he is an ideal type of back-up Point-Guard.

Gun to my head i wouldnt match that, but i have a feeling his shot will come along, **** ..he’s a low mistake PG that makes the right plays, idk right now lol

Is there anyone we would rather spend that cap on this off season? Also I don't think that would be a touch contract to move down the line if needed. I think I'd match too. I don't see it turning into a bad contract but it could turn into a good one.

I’m leaning that we don’t match. It’s fair but I think Rosas doesn’t want another longer term deal in the books, losing 2021 cap space. Now, if that third year turns out to be non guaranteed or be a team option, then we have to match.

Easy match, only unfortunate that it's only 3 years and not 4. Just over $9m per is good value for Tyus.

The average NBA salary last season was a bit over 6 million, with a slight increase in the cap, 8 million is not terrible. With him being just 23 I have no doubt you'd be able to trade him down the line if need be.

6 ppg, bad 3 pt shooter, bad shooter, and 1 steal per game isn't worth nearly 10 mill in cap space

Damn, I liked Tyus. Such a smart player.

I tend to view him as our starter and generally a better option than Teague. I think we'll match. I have heard next draft is full of good PG prospects however, so wouldn't be completely surprised if we don't match with the thought of drafting a PG next draft.

If it counts as $24M for 3 years against the cap it would look something like $7.6M/$8.0M/$8.4M. I'm perfectly happy matching that as I see Jones as a borderline starter who still has upside (he recently turned 23). At this point the Wolves almost have to match, since going into the season with a PG rotation of Teague/Napier/? would be a really bad idea.

If we match, cannot be traded to Memphis for a year. Just like all free agents that sign new contracts, he cannot be traded to any other ream until December 15th.
