I'd say Rubio benefits especially from not having to play with Reid.

Guys, this is not tanking, this is what we saw with Ryan at the start of the season, as well as during Finch's first few games before the All-Star break. They weren't purposedly trying to lose games in an embarrasing way then, and they're not doing it now.

Two days ago I heard the vibe was changing and people were owing Rosas an apology.

The good news for Wolves fans is:
With the new ownership the vibe will most likely really be changing and Rosas will be told to not let the door hit im on the way out.
Until then a couple more months in purgatory.

At some stage you need to develop a winning culture.

When KAT went down we saw the team come undone. After a 2-0 start we became the last place team in the league. But, true though that statement is, it is not the whole story. We are also the youngest team, and the team with perhaps the least roster chemistry in the NBA. Missing the bubble after shaking up the whole roster at the deadline last season hurt. The extra break plus the shortened return time hurt guys like Juancho and Layman and basically made them useless. Ricky wasn’t much better and despite a hot start from Culver, we saw the type of regression that would have been helped by a stint in the G that just wasn’t possible this season because of Covid. The later emergence of our rookies would have been huge at the beginning of the season, but again we are the youngest team. The coaching change has also helped bring out improvements in several players as well. The point is without Towns and Beasley and with Dlo still in the process of coming back (still on a minute restriction, and still not starting,) we are not competitive against teams like the Bucks and Nets. We might be able to hang with teams like the Rockets and Thunder, but only if we play with genuine want to for 48 minutes. This team should get better as the players get older and more experienced. This team should get better as the rotations become more solid and the players develop chemistry, but this team is not good yet, especially without KAT.

One special aside, if JO could ever learn to consistently hit open 3s even 33% of the time, and improve his handle just a little bit, he would become so much more valuable for us. I see the potential in him, but Ryan clearly failed to bring it out. The rest of this season and offseason feels like his last chance to do it here, but I think no matter what happens, he will do it somewhere.
