So disappointed in Canada. They were missing 2-3 of their top guys but man, they should have been able to pull out a finals appearance. They have so much talent but always find a way to mess up (guys don't play, horrible choke jobs, etc).

Props to Czech Republic. Shows how good teams can be forged when they know how to play together.

I was selfishly happy he turned down previous invites to work on his game when he was with us.

It wasn't the Olympics but I know he played some FIBA ball for Canada around his rookie season, I remember watching those games. They were pretty good but fell short after a nice run.

When I first saw Jamal Murray right after highschool but before college play for Canada, I knew he was really taltend. He was a leader of that team as a HS kid. When healthy, Canada can field a very talented squad with a nice smattering of vet and young talent. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Anthony Bennett too.

That's when I got super interested in Murray too. From that moment I was sold. He looked great at KY and I was hoping, praying we'd take him in the draft. Taking Chris Dunn was devastating to me like not taking Steph. If Murray was gone I would have taken Hield.

We're looking for a PF now and I was praying we'd take John Collins. It was a total no-brainer. But no. Thibs had to go with Justin Patton. We could ave had OG! How tough is it?

First Dunn then Patton. I hate Thibs.

How I'd put the depth chart:

Lillard / Holiday
Booker / Beal
LaVine / Middleton
Durant / Tatum / Grant
Adebayo / Green / Love

I love it!

At least it's not something more, but it still sucks. I wanted to see him as the 1st option against team USA

What a bummer man. I heard they won their practice game too. Was lovin' the fact that he was getting the experience and who knows, maybe he would have wound up on the final roster through something crazy, would have been crazy epic if he got to play for a gold medal at 19. Best believe I would have been hyped for every game lol. Really hate he is missing out on training with so many elite players though.

Hard to believe Booker and Middleton will turn around and go play for Team USA after the Finals, especially with a short offseason.

Japan is having a lot of issues with Covid and there will be no spectators, that really sucks, they have to be taking a massive financial hit over this.

Can’t find a boxscore but looks like Okogie just lead Nigeria to an exhibition win against USA. Trade value up!

No foreign spectators were expected, now no locals either. I doubt locals would make a huge difference. But TV rights are the most profitable thing nowadays anyway.

With the select team beating USA and now Nigeria, the Timberwolves are 2-0 vs Team USA.
