How is he a priority, especially being a RFA?
Many players in the LA area. Doesn't hurt to meet with Jmac if you happen to be in the area anyhow. Doesn't necessarily mean he is the number one priority.

Calinks wrote:Jmac was really good the season before last, seemed like a great system fit. He could be that again I think, I'm not mad about retaining him. I am worried about us not making some more roster changes, healthy we have an outside shot if we get some internal improvement but I'd feel a lot better about our odds if we got a talent injection.
I will continue to battle people referring to MICK laugh lin as J Mac periodically even though I know it's a losing battle. It's J Mc not JMac. McDonalds is referred to as Mickey Ds for short. Not Mackey Ds. However they do sell a big Mac.

Agree. And I like that with Rosas and Finch showing up, it shows respect for all JMac has done on the lowest salary possible for two years.

Shrink you and Calinks have both +1d my post about getting JMc right yet you refer to him as JMac in the very next post. Join me in referring to him as JMc. Sure it's almost certainly a losing battle, but it's better than just giving up without trying.

I’d already typed it, when I saw your post.
Maybe we should retire the abbreviation altogether, because we have a Jaden McDaniels and a Jordan McLaughlin (please don’t add Javale McGee). Still, I’d have to learn to spell McLaughlin. On the plus side, I actually can remember the name, because of the old politics show. This is only a small parody of the real thing.

LOL! True! That’s why I included the clip - I wasn’t sure anyone would know what the McLaughlin Group was!

I'm plenty old to know this, but I didn't because I was uncool in those days and didn't watch SNL. Watching this clip now it's funny as hell. I love the guy playing Mick Laughlin.

Re: Wolves Tender Vando & Jmac
Quick question/thought, where I wouldn't mind both being resigned @ the right price & w/ Vando being at the SL game last night as encouraging sign......My thought w/ both 2-way guys playing well...does that get either rfa all the more anxious about getting deal done....every game that Knight for example balls out...the tougher line that Wolves can hold with Vando negotiations....or too simple &/or to what extent does that potentially play?

The answer is roster space. If they get JMAC to sign and Bolmaro comes over they would be at 14. Vando would be 15. This limits us in signing an MLE player and limits us in converting Knight if he is deemed a Naz Reid level player. With Juancho, Layman, MCD and Knight all on the roster it would be a serious log jam at the PF, especially if we are also looking for another big.
The above being true, I doubt we would rescind the offer as Vando is possible trade bait and has more upside than Juancho or Layman at this point (both coming off of bad seasons.) Also, it is unclear if we can get Bolmaro to come over this year or if JMAC will resign with us.

I’d have to imagine they’d waive someone like Layman were that the case.

It was a rhetorical question.
It didn't require an answer because it won't happen.
They would S&T him for "just" a TPE over that.

You need the other team to agree to becoming hard-capped, for that. It isn’t that simple, or every signing would be a sign-and-trade.
