Remember a couple of years ago, we had the Bahama wolves and we couldn't shoot for a lick. Now.

Towns
Russell
Beasley
Reid
Beverly
Prince

All good 3 point shooters. Then we got guys like

Edwards
McDaniels
McLaughlin
Nowell
Layman

Guys who can hit the 3 and could potentially get hot or get better.

Okogie
Vanderbilt
Balmaro

The only guys who can't really shoot and Okogie can still hit a 3 now and then and maybe improves to OK this season. Balmaro could be a better shooter in the NBA but not likely his rookie year.

That really only leaves Vando as a guy who can't shoot, that is really different from where we have been. We have never had this much ability to stretch the floor ever. We got 6 good to great 3 pt shooters and a bunch of others guys who can knock it down now and then. Our perimeter game should be a nightmare to defend.

Bolmaro shot over 40 percent over 71 games last year. I think he's a better 3-point shooter than McLaughlin, Reid and Layman. If the new No. 9 doesn't make the rotation this year it won't be his shooting that brings him down it will be his size or lack of minutes at the two with Edwards, Beverly and Beasley in the rotation.

Bolmaro shot over 40% from 3 last season. I would not lump him in to the poor 3 shooter group.

He shot 40 total 3-pointers in those 71 games. That's the sample size question people have. Also keep in mind the shorter 3-point line in FIBA.

I don't think he's Okogie. But I also don't think he's Beasley out of the gate either.

I'm just saying don't lump him in with poor 3 point shooters. He really only shot 40? That's very strange, but I would consider his 3 point shooting to be an incomplete and impossible to determine.

Whoops, forgot one line in my calculations....

In 33 Liga ACB regular season games, he shot 8-21 (.381)
In 8 Liga ACB playoff games, he shot 8-19 (.421)
In 30 Euroleague games, he shot 24-53 (.453)

Still, that's less than two attempts per game. I'd ideally like a larger sample size to say definitively one way or another, but it does show promise.

40 didn't sound right. 93 is better. Not a large sample size, but not bad. he got his 40 makes in those 93 would have been 43 out of 100. Small sample, but good shooting.
