This is just a dumb team, top to bottom.

WTF is Finch thinking taking Naz and DDV out?

Why are they slowing the game down again after coming back by being super fast, aggressive and athletic?

Julius Randle being in any late game is an auto loss cheat code. The only way to win with him on the floor is for the other team to suck worse than us, and tonight that is too tough a task.

Not to be sassy, but I’m kind of tired of reading the constant Julius Randle hate on the forum when Anthony Edwards has been a much bigger issue this season.

Dude flopped on a corner step back three, cried to the referee about “getting fouled”, didn’t run back on defense, and gave up a free fast-break layup to put Golden State up by eleven with just over a minute to go. Dude has been an absolute disgrace on the court, and I’m tired of everyone else being blamed to baby how garbage he has been on both sides of the court whenever it counts.

This Warriors team isn't playing very well, and just got beat by 51 points, and somehow we are playing much worse.
I can see why ratings in the league are down 25% this product is trash.
Rudy Gobert getting demolished by a mediocre backup 2nd round pick.

NAW or DDV at PG this season has been absolute coaching malpriactice.
We traded essentially two unprotected 1sts for Rob Dillingham and he can't get minutes over a guy who struggles bringing the ball up the court without a turnover.

I've never been more disappointed or less optimistic about the future of a Wolves team and I've been a fan since season one.
You can see the reality starting to set in for Ant of what the next 4+ years is going to be like for him.
It's got to be fun to be out there constantly with another ballhog and 3 guys without a lick of offensive skill for teammates.
But yeah he really sucks right now.

My toddler is going to be in college before this franchise recovers from the damage Tim Connelly has done in the past 2 1/2 years.

I literally forgot we had a game tonight.

I think that says something about the quality of the product, if a superfan like me can forget about a game.

Everyone is just scapegoating Julius Randle. Yea, he hasn't been great but 10 other players under contract and this coaching staff hasn't been great either. No need to dump this all in Randle's lap, he's just a cog in the cheeks machine.

You kept seeing him miss rotations in the last five minutes. If the defense doesn’t hold up then the offense sure as shooting won’t either. Randle isn’t the source of everything wrong, but he is responsible for enough bad to be benched end of game. Naz is the future, we treat him like the middle child.

Just finished the game…not sure why I chose to do so.

Sometimes front offices can out think themselves. When something is going well, leave it be. I understand the cap implications prob factored in a lot but this type of season could drastically affect the future trajectory of the team.

It’s bringing back the losing culture and could make a lot of key players lose faith in the franchises plan. This is just an ugly brand of basketball that isn’t even enjoyable to watch.

No one is playing well. Ant whining like Lebron after they played together and bricking everything lately. Rudy's defense isn't stopping anybody. Conley is just physically there but not doing anything. Mcdaniels missing open shots all game. Randle's epic turnovers and forced offense. What else?

Classic Steph with 5 minutes left, and they can't play man to man and stay close enough to put a hand up?

Finch seems overrated, too. What is he doing to help the team when they need it most?

DDV and Naz were the Wolves' best players tonight. They really aren't supposed to be. The starters should be held accountable. I'd bench them a couple of games to teach them a lesson and give others a chance.

If Dillingham gets some more experience and gain poise, he can produce more than Conley. Garza can potentially stretch the offense compared to Gobert, seen Garza hit 3's and provide lot more off the ball movement to open the lane which might help Edwards and Randle. What they are doing now isn't working. This is a team with talent, and it seems no one is being used the right way.

The only excuse I have for the Wolves tonight is the rim was crooked as maintenance couldn't fix it before start of the game. :D

Actually I am encouraged that they are trying to play the right way. Randle was trying to move the ball until 4th qtr. They found Gobert multiple times. DDV may had his best game as a wolve.I don't know why our defense couldn't contain Curry the last few minutes.Putting Naz in for Gobert didn't help but was too late anyway.

I agree with most comments. Randle is not matching well with this team but he is not the superstar in this team. FO decide to make this team ANT team when trading KAT and he is far from being the leader he pretend to be. And all others players specially starters are accountable. Production from Mike Jaden are not acceptable right now. The only starter I got more indulgent with is Rudy. He is not great every night but he gives 100 pct ! And staff have to wake up too. Finch coaching is beyond bad for the moment. Job to do!

I still think the team will figure something out. Them being as good as last season is probably a dead dream but I think they could still be a good team and a 2-4 seed. We are just in a bad place right now. They have a lot of work to do and things to figure out.

I don’t see it. Play in bound for sure possibly 6 at best.

The vibes and chemistry are completely shot. I think we’re seeing how important Kat and Kyle were behind the scenes.

I don’t think we can underestimate how these moves truly messed things up. The timing was just bad and the return wasn’t what it needed to be.

This tells me that either TC, Finch or both don’t understand fit. We talk about Ant not making his teammates better but none of these players help maximize his game.

1. Can someone check on this guy? He sounds like he’s starting to have a stroke after every clip.

2. I think he misses the point when he sees each error, and blames coaching. That’s scapegoating. If we dumb fans see the players’ mistakes, if he sees the players’ mistakes, Finch obviously sees them too. Moreover, each professional player probably realizes the mistakes as well, and to me, each player is responsible for his own screw ups.

3. I realize that defense is a team effort. There was bound to be some backslide when you add two new players into the equation, and all eight need to learn where to be, and who to trust to be in position. Gobert was clearly PO’d in Toronto when Julius wouldn’t protect the rim when he came out from under the basket. But I had thought over our win streak that the team was finally starting to get it.

4. Remember, this is Steph Curry. His HOF success, from a player that height, comes from being one of the best ever at maximizing small mistakes and hesitations. Yes, some of these were major Wolves’ mistakes, but some were minor ones, that Curry magnified into points.

5. Finally, the podcaster might have something right about Finch. I refuse to believe Finch suddenly got stupid after finding ways to over-achieve for three years with the crazy set of mismatched (but talented) toys that Tim Connelly handed him. What concerns me more is whether the players are listening to him. If he loses the locker room, that’s the unforgivable sin that gets even good coaches fired. Teams can’t afford to ditch expensive players, so they hope a new coach can get the players to respond. It rarely works, if the problem is the players.

Ant has a lot of room to grow as leader and player. Has not showed much yet, but honestly TC did him dirty by separating from calm and positive Towns presence and replacing with Randle who is on completely different stage of his career than Towns: no ties in MIN, no veteran experience etc. Add here Anderson loss who was a very active voice in locker room in last two seasons, and we have CLEAR leadership crisis in MIN.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
